Own Your Shit Weekly - July 03, 2018I can’t find the link to the RP post that advocated “suffer in silence” but with a grain of salt from this Career beta/sensitive faggot, accepting feelings of grief or loss is healthy. I’d go so far to say that talking and having someone (other than your SO) listen is healthy. Seneca had this to say. Some of it is harsh and some is comforting. Good luck. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 05/07/18 06:49 PM
seeking resources similar to WISNIFGI feel ya. WISNIFG Chapter 5: Assertive Social Conversation & Communication - free information & self disclosure. That sample dialogue is good - Pete’s working on frame and game. I found this but customize your google search terms for what fits. For me it demands more practice, less theory. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 25/06/18 06:15 PM
“The Lag” and Knowing When and Why to Escalate Higher Dread.I’m learning patience and the long game of MRP from lifting. Quick, ego-boosting gains have been followed by plateaus, injuries, deloads. Whatever lifting goal deadlines I had get readjusted. The beta boy part of me is disappointed, frustrated. The man in me is stepping up. Well overdue. Perseverance, commitment, progress. 1 year is apparently just the beginning in fitness. Same goes for my frame. I stand on the shoulders of RP giants. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 06/05/18 08:18 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - February 06, 2018That makes sense. If both legs are not equally strong I can see how my hips and lower spine might torque slightly and exert uneven twisting force on discs. Will try warming up with row machine instead of elliptical. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 10/02/18 03:33 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - February 06, 2018Great insights here, thx. I’ve always done SL5x5 barefoot (socks). Feels like a more stable base. My lower back has regularly felt sore from lifting. (Standing BRs seemed to cause it the most as I increased load.) I thought of it as the good kind of pain. That may have been a mistake. Not videoing or asking advice of other lifters - that’s on me. “Now you know” haha. I suspect disc because the sensory nerve distribution for that area maps to L4/5 disc. The situation is stable for now, milder, nu… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 09/02/18 03:23 PM

Own Your Shit Weekly - February 06, 2018I’ve lurked forever. SL 5x5 cautionary tale. 52 y.o, 153 lbs. Fairly fit but skinny fat. Never lifted before. Started SL 5x5 with empty bar. Last week I hit 175 for SQ and DL and my left toe went numb. It’s been numbing in and out ever since. Likely disk herniation. Such a disappointment. Lifting feels fucking good. I’ll focus on upper body while looking for safe alternatives to SQ/DL. Would appreciate suggestions. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 07/02/18 10:14 PM

Feedback Request: A Quick Way To A Deeper, More Objective OYSLike it. I'm new to MRP/OYS - this form is a good memory jogger - regardless of score, it does hit a lot of the key actions to take weekly. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 16/02/17 05:44 AM
