I mean we don’t really know much here, he could be a POS who knows? Yeah, who knows. So don't fire the guy cause "who knows". I feel like it’s pretty common sense to not hit on customers I'd personally be flattered. Everyone's different.

beating someone who is down. here we have a case of a man occupying the lowliest job sector -- service-- where he is literally serving customers all day. a handsomely paid-and-paying customer wasn't happy with his service, because he had the gall to call her pretty, and gets him fire from his minimum wage job.

Never heard the phrase 'punching down'?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/18 01:03 AM
1

Sure. It's just assholes on all sides as usual. I think the issue a lot of people have is situations like this look like punching down.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/18 01:00 AM

"Unprofessional" is a meaningless word, and he did not act inappropriately in my opinion. Hitting on someone is not wrong. Most importantly -- he did not hurt anyone. He did not hurt anyone. Why hurt a man who didn't hurt you?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/18 12:54 AM

The problem is your expectations are too high, princess. Getting hit on is part of life. Were you hurt? No? Get over it.

The point is that excessively revealing clothes can make men (people in general) feel uncomfortable.

What makes you so important?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/18 01:36 PM

lol exactly what I said. You have plenty of places to talk about the things you want, men don't. The original post is about sexual objectification of men, btw.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/18 12:32 PM
1

When did I ever claim it was false? Please point that out... You want a monopoly on empathy is what you seem to want here...
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/18 10:26 PM
1

Nope. I haven't minimized anything. Objectification is a related topic. Men are sexually objectified less than women, and in different ways, but still sexually objectified. As for non-sexual objectification, men hold the floor.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/18 09:49 PM
1

It's objectification. Dehumanization. It was boys who were sent, not girls. They were literal objects to be sacrificed for all women and rich men. But that's not an oppression to you. You'll find any twisted reason to justify and minimize the issue. You're a joke.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/18 09:44 PM

Millions of boys being sent to die like pigs on a battlefield.

Throughout history men have been objectified and it's been used to dehumanize them and hold them down. They were treated as property and less than. you're literally i <3 men's tears mode right now
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/18 12:13 AM
1

Then what? Explain why its ok to sexually objectify men.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/18 12:02 AM
1

women have carried their objectification of men over to harassment, intimidating, making them sacrifice their lives, taking their lives from them, and professional abuse.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/18 11:41 PM
1

Yes, sexually objectifying people dehumanizes them. My point was that by dehumanizing, you can rationalize doing horrible things to the person ie rape and assault. This is where men being stronger than women comes into play and why THAT matters. This was my full point, which is not even really my most important but you brushed over that. So objectifying men is ok and objectifying women is bad cause rape? what?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/18 11:34 PM

guess that's true

Interesting that women have less consensus on which men they find attractive, yet they also have the tendency to all fall for the same man.

Maybe I want a broke artist who is passionate and cuddles me between bong sessions. Where do I find women like this?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 10:24 PM
5

Yeah. Life isn't fair. It's harder for the ugly guy to get female attention than the hot guy. But there's also things like chemistry, personal preferences and standards. It's actually men who are more visual than women.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 10:14 PM

Sure, fine. My point though, is that I'm NOT genetically lucky, and do NOT by any means have a "chad" personality. It wasn't hard work, or good personality. I'm not here to tell you to "just be yourself" and everything will be ok, but there is a small sliver of truth to that, that you have to accept. You're not going to find success by trying to be something you're not. You have to play your own angle. Stop obsessing over chad. Not every woman wants the same thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 10:00 PM
7

What definition of Chad includes short, scrawny, bald white boys with INFP type personalities, working fast food and wearing hand-me-downs in college? Come on lol. Stop obsessing with this "Chad" archetype. You gotta play your OWN angle when it comes to social situations.

Dude, I'm 5'8", 120 lbs, went bald at 18, mbti type INFP, from a lower middle class background, and I got invited to plenty of "parties" in my high school and college years. I even had casual sex! Your view of the world is a little warped, as well.

You should really read and think about what I'm saying here, rather than bury your head in the sand. That's not helping anyone. I'm not saying women have it easy, or men have it hard. I'm not saying you're wrong to feel put upon. We all have it hard. Lets try to make a better world for everyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 07:22 PM
1

If you dont think women should be equal, thats up to you. Yeah, cause that's what I've been saying... /s I'm just trying to explain the male perspective to you -- the realities we face. Both halves of the human experience must be understood if we are to progress. If you want to understand, which I'm not sure you even do, you should start by getting this idea of mythical "equality" out of your head. You are completely stuck on it. The grass is always greener and all... You are complianing about m…

There is no if. No one's having it easy. If the woman is stay-at-home, doesnt mean she's less responsible. Right, the "if" here is about financial responsibility. I'm not saying anyone has it easy, and I don't think a stay-at-home mom is less responsible. You are the one who used those words. You originally implied that a man working for money has "more reponsibilities" and is "more equal". I don't really agree with that. A man's traditional gender role is one of financial responsibility, right …
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 03:37 AM

I'm trying to get you to see this from a male point of view, rather than a female one. At least try. Both of them are? Then why is the man "expected" and the woman an "if"?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 02:39 AM
1

Might have editted, wasn't trying to make you look stupid. I apologize. Gonna leave you with this. Here's what you said at the beginning of this discussion. How? By trying to be a man's equal, his responsibilities diminish. And here's what you just said a comment ago. The man is expected to be responsible. You gettin' it yet? ;) The woman, if working if
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 02:20 AM
1

Non-sequitar. People will criticize you no matter what. Fuck the haters, didn't you learn that yet? The point is women have the option either way, whereas men don't. Men must be able to provide. And this is because of women's choices.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 02:11 AM
1

Why is this so hard for you? The woman is not "expected to be responsible." Only the man. Like you said, the woman, if working...
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 02:07 AM
1

To continue speaking in generalities -- The norm, that I have seen my entire life, and I'm sure you have seen too, is that the man is better situated, financially. This means that, while the woman is not likely to be a stay at home mom, she at the very least expects a man to be able to provide for her. Like you said, a man who is stable. This is an expectation that men do not have for women. Most men will happily financially support a woman they are in a relationship with.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 02:04 AM
1

That contradicts women having their own jobs or careers and their own money. Men arent expected to be stay-at-home dads or anything. There is no contradiction here at all. Women can have their own income and still expect a man to provide her with a greater standard of living. This is the norm right now. Of course men aren't expected to be stay at home dads. My point was, they don't have the option. The abolition of old gender roles doesnt mean it should be reversed, either. It would mean that so…
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 01:51 AM
1

Except they haven't. Men are still very much expected to provide for women. This is systemic. Have you seen a lot of stay at home dads? Husbands being financially supported by their wives? And of the very few cases of such men, do you think they are respected?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 01:39 AM
1

Okay, I'm trying to say that women enforce men's gender roles as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 01:34 AM
1

Seems that we've been trying to free women from their gender roles for decades, already. Do men enforce women's gender roles?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 01:32 AM
1

You believe that women enforce gender roles on themselves, and men as well? Explain please.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 01:25 AM
1

Just less, I guess. Interesting.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 01:21 AM
1

That's not what I'm proposing at all. I'm saying gender roles are enforced primarily by the opposite gender, so cooperation would be required.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 01:20 AM
1

Interesting that they don't kill women.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 12:59 AM
2

What you're saying isn't true at all. Women who are searching for a husband almost unanimously want a man who can financially support them -- not necessarily one that does, but can. Most women believe they are entitled to it. They would never consider financially supporting a man. Stop trying to twist reality. If you are a poor man you are relegated to either incel or walking dildo status. You are not respected.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/18 12:26 AM
1

You're right. In fact, I'd say it hasn't erased any of them (wouldn't you agree?). What it has done is placed the honus regarding those roles onto men. For example, we will say that women are objectified by men, rather than saying women who fail to live up to these standards are failed women. Men who fail to live up to their objectification are still considered failed men. These attitudes are systemic, and men recognize this imbalance. It's resulted in a sort of supercharged women are wonderful …

Women would need to do their part in freeing men from their gender roles. Men can't do it without the cooperation of women, just like feminists couldn't do it without the cooperation of men.

When we talk about the harmful effects of toxic masculinity, we are not criticizing men, but are calling out the unfair standards imposed upon them. The problem is that some men do not have the coping skills to deal with the fact that everyone does not think that they are special. Did you read the article? Do you not see the disconnect here? On one hand, you will say that this is not about criticizing men. But then this person goes on to attribute men's mental health issues, en masse... to entit…

Can you explain that second part to me?
/r/TheRedPill08/02/18 11:39 PM
2

Because females uphold the male gender role, not males. Until feminists admit this, they will never get anywhere. It's like someone trying to explain that they aren't offered respect unless they meet X expectations, and then the response they are met with is "well the problem isn't the expectations, it's that you think you are entitled to respect." Now in many cases this would be a justified response, but given the nature of feminism, I think you can see the glaring hypocrisy.

Jesus Christ had a father, Joseph, and a mother, Mary, who were both heavily invested in his life. This is the family unit. What are you talking about "nuclear families"? I don't know what you even mean by that term, when you say it didn't exist. I never used that term. I'm talking about fatherhood, alongside motherhood -- a.k.a. the family unit. Parental investment. This has nothing to do with the involvement of extended family members. The more the merrier. Extended families and communities wa…

The Bible is full of extended families and communities raising children. Nuclear families didn't exist. What about Jesus Christ? They don't need a gender. Yes they do. Boys need male role models, just as girls need female role models. There is no basis for your ideals. They come from a modern construct that has no bearing on what kids actually need. Fatherhood is not a modern construct, man. Like holy fucking shit. You're living in la-la-land man. How old are you? Did you have a dad?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/17 02:33 AM

No, nuclear families are a recent invention, that's just BS A mother and father is a recent invention? Really? That's just not true. Have you ever read the bible? Children were historically raised by extended family and communities. ...and, ideally, a mother and father. This isn't an either or. Extended family and others should contribute as well. Ideally, the child will have a mother and father that are invested and an extended family and community that are also invested. As for single moms, ma…

Men already had the rights that women fought for over the past century. OK... Those aren't the only "rights" that exist... Hello? I have no idea what blame you are referring to. you said, originally, that men are dependent on women because "men just need to work on themselves" but you also said that women were dependent on men because they lacked rights. i.e. women were dependent on men because men held them back and men are dependent on women because men hold themselves back? i.e. when men suff…

When women were dependent on men, they needed rights. When men are dependent on women, why not entertain the idea that men need rights too? Why would you dismiss that? Why would you automatically lay the blame on men for their dependence?

If you have all the power you should have all the responsibilities. If you have half the power you should have half the responsibilities. Really fucking simple stuff right? Part of liberation is that not only do women have a choice of if, but even if they do want children they have a choice of when. A man has as much say as the woman does Pick one. If a woman has the choice of if and when then a man can't simultaneously have the choice of if and when. That wouldn't make logical sense, right? Sounds like you've got some things to work through. I say naive because your expectations are too high. You should consider that men are human beings too, and that we are all in this together. :) Do you have brothers? A dad? If you do have a dad, do you know what it's like for people who don't? You say live and let live, but where is the love in your world? Balance, always.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/17 06:42 PM

You think that doesn't happen to men too? Men are pressured and bullied just the same. Save some especially bitter men, nobody is saying it's easy to be a woman. It will never be easy. A society of free expression where everyone can live their lives exactly as they please will never exist. You show up to work everyday right? You sound naive. Can I ask what your age and socioeconomic background is?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/17 06:35 PM

Right. I understand this. Essentially what I'm asking is for women to take some responsibility in this arrangement. You can't have it both ways. You seem want all of the power in women's hands but only half of the responsibility (and none of the blame)? For example, how do you then justify child support? If a man has no say and a woman has 100% of the say in reproduction, then why shouldn't a woman be 100% responsible? You can't have it both ways. If you want power you have to take responsibilit…

Very very few women don't want families now or ever. Don't pretend that makes up a significant portion of anything we are talking about. We all have responsibilities in this world. Think about it, and be honest with yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/17 01:33 AM

Well what do you mean by women's liberation? What are they liberated from? I'm talking about the destruction of the family unit. But hey, getting your fill of cock is more important than the next generation right?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/17 12:24 AM

Yes, I'm talking from my own perspective. Is that not allowed? So it's a man's fault when a woman abuses her power? Cause he should have known?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/17 11:36 PM
1

When did I say anything like that? I think you know well I didn't. I'm talking about fidelity and marriage/family values. Huge difference correct? It's not about freedom to chose it's about actually choosing.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/17 11:29 PM

It would involve realizing women's power in the sexual marketplace and how destructive to society a misuse of that power is.

Yeah that's my point. So I'm to work my ass off for years with no reward except to pray that one day I will be rewarded. And by who? It depends on the environment. In my more conservative hometown I had relationships with women. When I got to college I had very little success (couple lays) and now I'm in a city environment where I know nobody. I'm having no success. On tinder I get matched with fatties and single moms. E.g. hookup culture absolutely destroys the chances of average men

It's pretty brutal to be an average looking guy who will have absolutely no love life? It's not easy to just go on day in day out and work your ass off without any kind of love or validation whatsoever. This is something women don't understand. If all you can say is "tough shit", can you really blame men for feeling like they have a raw deal?
