Thanks to you, Reddit, I canceled my son's circumcision today.fundamentally, to be pro-eye glasses is to be anti-evolution. there is an evolutionary reason for your short sightedness, otherwise everyone would have 20/20 vision. um...right? | /r/MensRights | 29/10/10 09:43 PM
Thanks to you, Reddit, I canceled my son's circumcision today.i wasn't so much referencing the rate of surgical mistakes as i was the difficulty a man (or older boy) has in acclimating himself to the feeling of having an "exposed" head after a lifetime of having it covered. there are several responses to the original post that highlight this issue, and i have seen similar testimonials before. not being able to walk, feeling oversensitive, etc. | /r/MensRights | 29/10/10 09:02 PM
| -1 | Thanks to you, Reddit, I canceled my son's circumcision today.this is pretty much totally anecdotal, but it seems like there is a higher rate of complication from adult circumcision as compared to infant circumcision. it seems that way based on what i've read and based on some of the responses i am seeing in this post. if that's the case, then the whole "let him decide" argument is not really very compelling to me. because by not deciding for him, i may be dooming him to a life of living with something he doesn't want, or risking complication if he chooses… | /r/MensRights | 29/10/10 08:06 PM |
Thanks to you, Reddit, I canceled my son's circumcision today.i don't think that the issues that you mention are by any means universal, but you definitely bring up some interesting points. i will add it to the pool of information i will draw from if i ever have to make the decision for someone else (hopefully that will never happen, because i would be torn ((pun intended))). thanks. | /r/MensRights | 29/10/10 07:33 PM
Thanks to you, Reddit, I canceled my son's circumcision today.what "natural advantages" of uncircumcized men do you as the woman experience? serious question. i've heard of the advantages from the male point of view, but never the female point of view. | /r/MensRights | 29/10/10 07:06 PM
