It’s true, it can be clear, however for me my anxiety makes me analyze and read into everything regardless of how expressive my partners are...

I am 100% with you! I HATE having to accept child support from my ex. Yes as a parent he should be contributing, however having to rely on an irresponsible twat to make sure I have a roof over my kids heads makes me nauseous. I work full time and go to school part time in the hopes that one day very soon I can support the kids 100% on my own. Will I continue to take child support? Of course. Yup. I tell them right off the bat let’s do a quick meet to see if we are even attracted to each other BEFORE we commit to drinks/dinner/movies or whatever else. It makes me feel so much safer. There many who just don’t get it. Which is fine, they just don’t get meet me. Easy. Hahah

Because I went on a first date once and the minute I got there I felt suuuuper uncomfortable and knew he would not be someone I wanted to pursue something with, but felt completely trapped. It was supposed to be dinner and a walk, but there was literally no conversation happening. When I said I had to leave early, he was visibly upset, and was pretty confrontational. By giving only an hour for whatever reason, if feel uncomfortable I can leave and don’t have to come up with a random excuse.

I actually have made it a rule: one hour coffee meet up first. If they guys says ‘that’s not long enough’ or ‘not coffee, drinks of course’... I will politely explain that I don’t ever meet for drinks until after I have already met them. If they still insist, it’s straight to goodbye. So far it’s been a great vetting tool. I’m shocked how many claim I have to give them a ‘valid’ reason, other than my own safety or comfort level.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
