They're easy as a tall guy. Simply say, "Hi, I'm tall, how are you?" or "Lots of short people here tonight. Which is great because we have a clear view."

I like this. One time I told a girl right before going into her bedroom, "I can't get into anything serious." So she said we can just make out.. ending up having sex, afterwards she joked about when the marriage was. I think letting her have time to think it through is a good idea.

Exactly. After I got out of long relationship I would open doors for girls and they loved it, but they then friendzoned me. It was only when I said "screwit", stopped opening the car door and generally stopped being an overly nice dorkwad that I avoided the friendzone.

Yep.. And I just remembered another asian friend.. Well he's kind of a cokehead asshole, always has a hot blonde girl with him. He's a little too cool in certain ways.

Disclaimer, I'm white, but my best friend is asian. My best friend has no problems with women, mainly because he's probably more American than me, he's very social and girls surround him. But the 99.9% of the other asian males I meet are nothing like my friend, instead they are stable but boring, and women don't like that. I used to have an asian woman fetish, had stable relationships, but they were boring as hell. Now I only date white women, and yeah, most of them don't have good credit, but I…

Fortunately the one I'm seeing does not touch drugs, although I think drug usage might be preferable to someone who is uptight about drugs. The benefits: they're easy going, you don't have to worry about them freaking out or stressing out, don't have to hide anything from them. They're easy to be with.

I am aware of these things and I don't do them. Frankly, anyone who does those things annoys me. Other things: No excuses. You F up, move on. No whiners. No gloating. Don't judge. Mother Teresa said if you judge someone you have no room to love them. Don't have set expectations. Let things happen and be happy in the moment. Don't put pressure on expectations. Don't be too much of a coldhearted badass, let your emotions flow. It's OK if you had your heart broken, just don't wax on and on about it…

...and they're all skeptical of modern gender roles. I dated one and I found her a bit too much into trends, anxious about doing the latest trendy things, anxious about others knowing how hip she was, making sure she was a real 'foodie' and would go to only the best restaurants.. Once found a bedbug at her favorite hip restaurant, but the waitress had lots of tats. Kinda lame. Recently discovered hippy chicks, very happy about that.

Good boundaries, that's the important part. Yeah you could have been less dramatic, but that's not so important.

I'm 35, all those affirmations are things I had to realize on my own, through trial and error. Affirmations did not work. In my 20s, I was young and wasn't sure about these things. In college I thought I was stupid, then I achieved what I wanted then and afterwards, so I realized I wasn't so stupid. I got married and I realized I'm a caring person capable of being a good husband/father. Only recently have I stopped putting myself down in the looks department. Then there's the psychological aspec…

It's more than "game'. To be interesting, be interested in others. You showed interest in his motorcycle and stories. What has really helped me get along with people is identifying with their problems. Even deeper, if you can find out what they're repressing, you have won the game.

I once dated a chick from Mongolia who was upset I didn't date more! She seriously wanted a man to play the field and choose her. Now I'm playing the field and she'd be proud if I could tell her but I don't want to make her jealous. What a cool chick she was/is. Still my friend. I dig chicks who are honest.

My favorite technique is learning about extreme thinking. Anytime you get to an extreme, you know it's not true. I might think, "My girlfriend is seeing her ex-bf, and we broke up, I won't find anyone else because no one finds me attractive." Right there, I have reached an extreme conclusion that I KNOW via experience is not true. Now, when those negative thoughts come, I stop them, have fun with them and continue on because I just don't give a crap anymore about them. In fact, the hardest thing…

If you look into it, 99% of us live by anxiety. We grow up, are told to wait for the green light or we'll get killed by a car, get good grades or we'll end up homeless, be with friends so you're not a loner, do well at the job so you're not fired, get a girl at the club so you're not a loser, it goes on and on. Read 'the worry cure'. Or take an anti-anxiety course offered at your hospital, it helped me. Whenever anxiety starts, I stop it via a bunch of techniques. Which is great because without …

True, but it's really effective. Women I thought would never be into me... are into me. My therapist was pleased about my progresss, then I explained how I'm following that book. Now she's disturbed.

This is good advice, but you have to not fear rejection. To get to this, you need to realize that you are not perfect, stop trying to be. Practice things like not washing your hands so often, laying on a dirty floor, get out of your shell. Stop anxiety thinking via CBT. When you no longer have anxiety, you approach women, they sense confidence, then all of a sudden rejection happens less often, if at all.

This^ Helped me. Just went to a bar tonight and I was fine, a month ago I freaked out at the same bar with social anxiety. Had sex a girl an hour ago..first date. The course I took used the book 'the worry cure'. Changed my life. Also, reading what people said here worked, I touched her, she touched back, escalated it until next thing I knew we had sex in my car.

I haven't gotten to the 2nd half. I remember reading the rake part, didn't appeal to me. The natural jumped out at me. I figured I'd try it out, fake it, see what happens. My inspiration is a true natural who I recently reconnected with on facebook. He comes from hippie blood, always sported long hair since we were 8, loves motorcycles and he's now in Nevada living in a trailer, singing in a band, drinking with his biker friends, and having a blast. He basically hasn't aged. So I knew how to fak…

Thanks, but I've also done a lot of other things to get to where I am. I'm almost done with a two-month long generalized anxiety disorder course so I have chipped away at most of my anxiety. Which means I'm happy and calm and more at peace with myself. Before, I would go to a bar and get dizzy, thinking everyone was laughing at me. Whoever I was with needed to calm me down. One thing that helped is counting the number of people looking at me when I went into a room, then doing it again and count…

Intoxicating is a good word. I find myself not wanting to read it too quickly so I can savor every page.

yep, always keep it positive. IMO, the OP is suffering from lack of confidence. I would approach this situation by asking women where the bathroom is, asking about the bartender, then the other females will see you with other females, and since they look for social status, this is a good thing. But even before that, you have to work on yourself and be interesting. Choose your archetype and play it. Are you the charmer, the natural, the coquette, maybe all of the above. IMO being the natural is b…

That is why, when someone says, "Oh she just likes him for the money" or I hear "Oh he just likes her for her looks" I think, "So what?" They're humans doing what humans do. I think many people would be happier if they would at least not try to fight against these roles. Women wouldn't spend the money their husband's make pursuing unrealistic goals, bankrupting the family. When my wife worked at a corporate job, she worked with some pretty sick people. One lady sabotaged her work, taking her rep…
