"The footage was released by police who said the mother was given a verbal warning and that the girl did not suffer any obvious injuries." Wtf. If that was a guy it'd be viral and he'd already be in cuffs(which is what should happen to anyone doing this to a baby) the article continues to say it's now living with it's grandparents so at least that's something!

Doesn't that just mean that long term the only companies that will not go bankrupt are the ones that don't pander to the women who don't want to work? Financial selection or whatever you'd call it. It definitely seems like a problem that either fixes itself or isn't as bad as we thought. Maybe I'm missing something though(edited to remove a double negative)

Surely though it's hard to deny that our societies were meant to be patriarchal(not necessarily the same as feminist evil patriarchy). I mean when you've got the vast majority of civilisations in history many which had no communication with other civilisations it's got to be more than just "societal constructs"

My understanding of it is that it's because Men and Women look for different things from each other. One of the things Women look for primarily is a Man who can stand up to the world and face challenges(competence). Sense of humour, wealth and decisiveness all seem to be indicators of competence. I could be wrong but I guess being able to walk ask someone out is an indicator of competence and would therefore explain why it's usually the Man's role

I did some in first year yeah. It is rewarding i agree but I just don't enjoy it for some reason. After a couple months of learning html and javascript i just knew i wouldn't enjoy that as a full time job. I do really enjoy photoshop and all the adobe suite tools though

There are jobs but because it's a BA I'm doing I'm assuming the same kind of people that are doing my course will also be the people I'll be working with. In terms of backup plans I haven't given it much thought but one thing i did think of doing was getting any job and just starting a twitch channel on the side that integrates philosophy and slow paced card games so the viewers could suggest topics and then each one would be given 20 minutes or something.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
