I'd like to know that myself. I've been told (by feminists) that I'm a poor excuse for a woman, a disgrace to my gender, and the reason women are still oppressed. Why? Because I'm (for the time being) a stay at home wife that cooks at least one meal a day for my husband, cleans the house, lets my husband have a say in everything that happens in our lives, and plan on having children. I actually had one tell me that since I am not circumcisimg my sons and because I intend to breast feed, I'm "Pan…

I'm probably about to get banned myself. Honestly it feels good. Lol.

Oy. This is one of the few things that royally piss me off: people assuming men can't take care of children, or that they can't be trusted to be left alone with them lest they completely change and turn into a child molester. I didn't even know that that happened until I got older and my friends started having kids, and the guys ran into the same problems OP is. It's insane. My parents didn't really use baby sitters for us, but when they did, it was either one of two uncles, or my dads best frie…

i'll bang my wife when i'm 270, 220, or 170 (yeah right, 170) and she'll like it. I think my husbands about the same size as you. The only time I can say that I DON'T like his weight is if he's on top. After he finishes when we're cuddling he can kind of squash me. To be fair, I think he'd do that anyway because I'm like 120 freaking pounds.

My husband looks mostly like the guy on the right, and I love every inch of his hairy, cuddly body. We both admit that he needs to lose weight, but only for HIS health. I don't look at him and think 'Gee, I really wish he had a six pack' or threaten him with no sex until he loses weight. EDIT:Used wrong word. Thank you sleep deprived mind.

It became rape the minute he wanted to stop, and she progressed. End. Of. Story.

Definitely agree there. I've had it happen a handful of times from BOTH sexes, and I can honestly say the guys were much more respectful and easier to get rid of. Man, some lesbians really can't take a hint!

I can truthfully say that, of all my times out at clubs and everything, I have never had to respond with violence when a guy approaches or touches me. I just kinda laugh and say "Sorry man, I'm going home with him" And point at my guy. I personally loathe when a woman uses that excuse ('I'm a woman so he can't hit me back!') to justify her anger or craziness.

Haha, thanks :) I'm the kind of women most female feminists hate.

I quite agree. By chance, what was the policy YOU were taught about sex, birth control, etc?

What would you say is a factor in that? I'm curious, but of course no one involved will answer me.

I have been told by older members and ex members that it seems like I was taught a lot of old (aka not used anymore) doctrine where I grew up, either because of the culture or other factors.

I was told that multiple times, actually. My leaders told me it was true.

"correct" Is a relative word. What I was taught would have been 'Correct' to my leaders, the same as it was to yours. FYI, I grew up in Southeast Texas, AKA racist land.

It seems you really know nothing about Mormonism so I'll start simple. It took me awhile to decide how I wanted to word this, to keep from sending the wrong message. I have discovered, through my dealings with Mormons (and exmormons) throughout the United States, and the world even, that certain things are taught in certain areas, and others things are taught other places. The views and opinions I expressed were of what I learned IN THE CHURCH as a child, and as a teenager. So, do not assume I k…

I agree. What's funny is Mormons make fun of the pope, and scoff at how they could follow someone who only shares what gods told him when no one else was around. But Catholicism and Mormonism do have things in common.
/r/MensRights14/07/13 10:31 PM
2

I'm speaking of the churches manner of following the word of the living prophet over anyone else. Aspects of the Mormon church challenge the Bible. They say that brother Joseph finally got it right. When someone questions a past leaders policies, they simply say that they follow and value a living prophet over a dead one. But, if they did that, don't you think the church would fall apart? sigh
/r/MensRights14/07/13 10:06 PM
1

Very true. If I recall, I was once told that Mormonism isn't defined as Christianity because they worship the word of a living MAN, and don't just follow the word of god. To be fair, this was quite some time ago and I don't recall the exact verbatim.
/r/MensRights14/07/13 10:02 PM
1

Some, including me, do say that. But the majority of Christians believe that God wrote the Bible, and that's why they follow it. Mormonism, on the other hand, is based off of ONE man interpretations of a book that probably existed.
/r/MensRights14/07/13 09:45 PM

Actually, they're considered a cult because they value the word of man (thier prophet) over the bible. I was raised in the Mormon church; they are only Christians by thier bigotry.

Hell yes I did! And its not sticking to good morals as much as it is doing what HE thinks a good guy does for a woman. Not just me, any woman that treats him with decency. It's sweet.

I literally slapped my old roommate one day because she said my then boyfriend (now husband) should stop doing those things because it was stupid, and that if had been raised to do those things, he'd be an easy target to manipulate as needed. Slapping someone NEVER felt as good as it did then. I LOVE it when he opens the door for me or lets me walk in first. He doesn't do it because I'm a woman, but because he was raised that way. It's a mix of chivalry and GOOD FUCKING MANNERS.

It's pitiful. I really pissed my mother off recently. I told her that I was completely encouraging Martin to build a 'man cave' so he has some space to himself. She told me that he didn't need space, and that he was being selfish if he asked for it. I told her that he could only have one if he refered to it as the Batcave :P

I grew up learning that A, only boys play video games, and B, that if a grown man plays them, he's either a 30 year old virgin, a loser, or a pedophile.

We BOTH play. We play TOGETHER sometimes. It helps him relax, and its fun. The ONLY time I EVER ask him to stop playing is if we need to talk, dinner is done, or I need him to do something that very minute. The ONLY time I will ask him to stop playing when we do have kids is to help out as needed with the baby. I would never dream of making him give up gaming.

Thanks. I got in a argument with my mother yesterday about circumcision. I really can't understand how they think these things are their business!

He won't, and I'll never ask him to. Gaming is an important part of BOTH our lives. It's a stress relief for him when he comes home from work. Who am I to deny him that?

You'd think they would. For the record, all the people that say that are women, excluding my brother in law.

I've been married a month, and my family/friends are currently telling me: 1, my husband needs to stop playing video games, because he is married and needs to pay attention to me. 2, My husband shouldn't be getting the reduced car insurance payments. I should be because I'm a woman. 3, I should stop looking for a better job because it's his job to provide for me. 4, If he doesn't agree with my choices on children, it doesn't matter because I'm the mom. Umm, WTF, Seriously?! I married a grown man…

Honestly, I'd trust the men in my life to care for my future kids, before I'd trust most of the girls I know. This is fucking ridiculous.

I would say that agreeing to sex is agreeing to the POSSIBILITY of a child. Condoms break, women forget thier pill, a guy can't pull out in time..if it CAN happen, it will, to someone. If you can't, as a couple, be mature enough to realize that having sex may result in pregnancy, then I would say that that couple isn't ready to have sex.

Well of course, try to treat men equally and respectfully, as long as they do so to us. Research companies that are misandric. Not sure what kind of research can be done on this, but it's out there. Research those companies and try to avoid working with them. Don't let your friends and family spread misandric lies and stereotypes. It may not hurt anyone you know, but it will hurt someone. Never lower yourself to assume a man is getting special treatment only because he's a man. That will only hu…

I just can't handle a large group of women. I prefer the more relaxed, laid back environment that's commonplace with my guys. With the girls, it's mostly about gossip and fruity drinks and sex. With the guys however, I can dress however I like, pop open a beer, play video games, or just tell raunchy jokes and challenge them to drinking contests. Is there drama with guys? Yeah there is, but sadly it's normally associated with a woman.
/r/MensRights06/03/13 04:16 AM

To be truthful, most of my friends are men :) women put to much drama into friendships.

Two instances come to mind; First one: A good guy friend dated and of course fucked a girl that was all kinds of crazy. We all told him she was no good for him, but who listens to friends when the pussys good? (Hope that's not taken as sexist, I dig the pussy too guys) Well three weeks after they start dating, she tells him she's on the pill, so they have unprotected sex. Multiple times. A month later she's knocked up. She goes to him, expecting him to marry her (?!) of all things. He says hell …

Well mens rights are a very personal topic to me. Several people I love are affected by inequality such as that. And I'm not even talking about gay rights; that's a entirely different topic.

Thank you for your honesty. And perhaps I should clear something up; I'm not apologizing because I've done wrong or because I've done things I listed. I'm apologizing because no one else will, and because I see and hear things every day that make me ashamed to be a woman. Things that make me say "Holy shit, that's messed up. I'm so sorry men"

Wow. This stuff is crazy. Surprisingly, I DO have duties to my man. To love him, help keep our home clean, help make our meals and care for him physically and emotionally, as long as he is good to me and does all of the above to the best that he can. Jesus Christ how can you expect someone to give you everything and give nothing back?!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
