One of my best friends is a girl. I've never tried to fuck her, we just hang out shoot the shit and what not. Met up at a bar for a few drinks and half way through it became very apparent that she was into music. Just down the road there was a record shop so I suggested we down our drinks and go there. We spent the next hour in this shop looking at records and talking music. Any album we came across that had a story we would tell to one another. I don't normally try but ended up sleeping together on that date, which was our first.

I stepped in as a trivia host to some beer money. At first I was terrible but the more I did it the better I got. With any new thing you're learning you have to go through that pain barrier where you feel uncomfortable and don't have any control. Same goes with approaching women. The first few are painful but if you get better or not the anxiety eventually goes away. You need to go a place in your mind where you're okay with going through with this.
