It was already a lost cause at that point. She flat out told me she was riding with him. It would have been really pathetic for me to insist she ride with me after they had already ridden there together.

Yeah, this would have been the best possible way to salvage the situation, but I just wasn't in the mood at the time. I'd rather take my licks and go home with a lesson learned than try to force being the funny, entertaining guy. I can be charming when I feel good, but if I'm not in the mood, I'm not in the mood.

Sure, I understood it. That is what I mean when I say she wasn't 'subtle'. Re-reading all these replies, I agree I lost frame as soon as I agreed to her plans. I also agree I could have turned the situation around by being the cool, funny guy in the hot tub, but I just wasn't in the mood at the time. C'est la vie. The big lesson for me here was don't agree to her plans.

Thanks, I thought I did pretty well too. I agree a lot of these other commenters are proposing what looks to me like really Beta behaviors but calling it Alpha. I agree with your advice on moving forward--that was the strategy I had already arrived at.

I think this is right. I should have stuck to the original plan of having her come over to mine. She would have either come over after she was bored with Chad, or flaked. Either way, I maintain frame.

Possibly. Or maybe running home after we made plans to go to the hot springs would've been BP. Age is only one sign of maturity. She seemed smart the first time we talked but I think that's just because I was really driving the conversation and being an entertaining clown.

Thought I'd update you all on latest developments. I finally got old girl on the phone this morning and, after some initial denial, she confirmed what my intuition was telling me. I can't disagree with you. This situation reminds me of a similar one I found myself in with another fine ass half mexican stripper chick/art girl.
