Why is it so tough to leave someone who is toxic for me?I saw psychologists and marriage counselor and run of the mill therapists. Tried a few. A few identified exactly that, that she was emotionally abusive. And she is, relentlessly. They really fk with your head, one day something is ok, the next day you are a moron for even thinking about it. Then she would do it and if I commented on her, it would be war. It’s mental madness. I don’t love her, at all, but I think I’m just scared of the war that will come from it I think. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/09/25 12:55 AM
Removing her name from credit cardsYes. She has 0 cards where she is primary. All in my name. I need to be careful because she loves being the victim and any angle she can be the victim to a judge she will take it | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/09/25 11:23 PM
Removing her name from credit cardsThank you. I am in Canada. And she is one that could attempt to post false accusations. I wouldn’t put it past her. I remember her comments during the Johnny Depp trial about how if she was Amber Heards sister she totally would have lied to get the money. That told me everything. Staying in the home will suck but I have read that several times that I need to stay. But I’ll just have to run a voice recorder 24/7 | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/09/25 12:50 PM
Lol - why is every man a “narcissist”The narcissist or gaslighting words are so overused they don’t even have value to me anymore. I realized over time that much of what I heard was projections from her. I am so sick and tired of my wife being the victim in everything that it has actually become somewhat comical. I borrowed something of hers two times for an hour each time over a 6 month period and I hear “they might as well be yours since you take them from me all the time”. Just absolute baby bullshit. Woah me mentality. Guys why… | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/09/25 05:27 AM

Dating post divorce is toughIt might not seem like it now, but to have a deadbeat mom would be so much easier. At this point in my marriage my wife is absolutely insufferable and I haven’t asked for a separation yet. When I do the war will be on and every good decision I have for the children will be shot down and contested in court until the end of time. Having the kids all to yourself will be your greatest gift even tho it won’t be easy. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/09/25 05:16 AM
Yes, but…How long did it take your kids to adjust? | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/09/25 04:29 AM
Yes, but…I hope I can drum up the courage for a big life change. I don’t trust her that she won’t try to use things I say in a twisted way so I’ve reached the point where I don’t share anything of importance with her. When you weaponize everything you get nothing. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/09/25 04:28 AM
Why the fuck would anyone get married again?48 here and yes, I completely agree. If I divorce my wife it will be hell, as she’ll see to that. But I’m happy to hear what you have to say. I feel like that’s where I could eventually be. I have 0 interest in ever marrying again and I won’t live with someone again unless there is an iron clad prenup. Doubt I’d ever go there again anyway. Congrats on your freedom from never being good enough. MARRIAGE IS NOT WORTH IT, MEN. Do NOT do it. Think about all the things that you have to lose and think… | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/09/25 05:52 PM
