What do I respond to "Kill All Men"?No one has a problem with being called male or female as a whole. The issue is that men are refering to women as females for derogatory reasons. first, the definitions. Adjective: of, relating to, or being the sex that typically has the capacity to produce eggs or bear young. Noun: an individual of the sex that is typically capable of producing eggs or young. Both these definitions refer to the bodily functions of a female. Thus, when refering to women as females, you're reducing them to their r… | /r/MensRights | 10/08/20 01:24 PM
What do I respond to "Kill All Men"?The difference is, the "jokes" men make aren't jokes because they are a reality. The jokes women make are "punching up" as they are not the reality. Women aren't killing all men. But men are raping women on epidemic level rates. Women are the ones doing 70% more unpaid work than men due to taking care of the home, which includes being in the kitchen more. Compare it to how black people can mock our lack of seasoning with food. They're punching up. However if we mocked black people for...being mo… | /r/MensRights | 10/08/20 01:03 PM
If someone tells you we live in a patriarchy, show them this post.I'll say this once. I studied criminal statistics for 4 years in a university. Then continued to do so outside of it. I took several classes on social issues based on race and gender. Not to sound cocky, but I know what I am talking about. Where as the other guy I was talking to boasted about his he researched the article for hours...you all need to realise, the issues in our society are deeply rooted. Spending a few hours on an article is most certainly not going to give you all the answers. Yo… | /r/MensRights | 06/08/20 07:46 AM
If someone tells you we live in a patriarchy, show them this post.I am tired of addressing it because when I make comment you change the focus. It's draining. Men are murdered more than women, however that is by other men...not women. Where as when women are murdered, it is also by men. Women are raped more than men. When men are raped, it is again, almost always by another man. Women are more likely to be attacked in the street unprovoked. Men are more likely to be attacked in the street in general when the attack is provoked, e.g gangs, fights, drug deals go… | /r/MensRights | 06/08/20 02:40 AM
If someone tells you we live in a patriarchy, show them this post. The fact you truly believe we live in a matriarchy is enough for me. We live in a world that sees government being made up with 80% men. One that has women murdered and raped by men and epidemic levels. One that sees all male representatives pushing to take away womens healthcare rights. One that doesn't help women being abused or stalked until they're dead. One that sees women face life in prison, but men 6 years for killing their spouse. One that pushes that women should be housewives and moth… | /r/MensRights | 06/08/20 02:28 AM
If someone tells you we live in a patriarchy, show them this post. The death penalty in itself is immoral and shouldn't be happening. But the fact men get it more is ultimately down to the fact that they are 96% of offenders. If it were 50/50 then it would be a fair bias for you to point out, but it is not. Men commit most crime and will be more likely to get the death penalty. Also you seem intent on ignoring the detail that a man would get 4-6 years for killing his wife. But on average women face 15 - life for killing their husband. men successfully commit su… | /r/MensRights | 06/08/20 01:35 AM
If someone tells you we live in a patriarchy, show them this post.Nope. A point was made and it wasn't completely right. Derailing would be me saying..."yeah...men go to jail more, but women don't get promotions at work!" This would be derailing as I would be changing the topic to a completely new one which is irrelevant to the conversation I kept my information on topic, thus I was not derailing. It was important to say what I did because the spread of false information is what leads to the you vs them situation, which doesn't solve anything. | /r/MensRights | 06/08/20 01:21 AM
If someone tells you we live in a patriarchy, show them this post. You're not understanding what a matriarchy and patriarchy are when it comes to a societal structure. Just because society benefits you, doesn't mean it's a patriarchy or matriarchy. In simplest terms, patriarchy = men in charge. This was supported with gender roles which are men are the bread winners, providers, and protectors. And women are the stay at home wives, and raise the children. !! Men benefiting doesn't make society a patriarchy. It is the patriarchy that allows men to benefit !! How … | /r/MensRights | 06/08/20 01:07 AM
What do I respond to "Kill All Men"?It mostly began on tik tok to prove a point to the men saying rape all women, along with other sexist "jokes". When women complained about it, they were called dramatic, snowflakes, cry babies, and told to get back in the kitchen, and so on. When the men became outraged about "kill all men" and said it wasn't funny, that it wasn't dark humour. They proved the womens point. Now kill all men is typically said in response to sexist and derogatory jokes said about women. As well as calling men "wall… | /r/MensRights | 05/08/20 11:16 PM
| -1 | If someone tells you we live in a patriarchy, show them this post.I would like to add something to the conversation that needs to be acknowledged. I'll be mentioning crime statistics and feel I should say I studied them for 4 years in university (criminal psychology) attempting to understand the differences and gender biases in the system towards men and women. men commit mostly aggressive crimes. Such as murder, fighting, armed robbery, and rape. "Aside from prostitution, female representation has been greatest for minor property crimes such as larceny-theft,… | /r/MensRights | 05/08/20 11:06 PM |
You don't get a pass if you're a woman. Rape is rape.I never said it wasn't. I said the newspapers don't say "rape" as they legally can't. Not that she didn't rape them. | /r/MensRights | 03/08/20 05:40 PM
You don't get a pass if you're a woman. Rape is rape. They do it for men too. It's not just for women. They do it because if they call them rapists, murderers, or whatever, before sentenced, then they could be sued if the person isn't found guilty. So for legal reasons they can't say rape until after sentencing. | /r/MensRights | 03/08/20 04:35 PM
