Good that you didn't take up the fight offer, you're doing well. Even if they don't agree with you, if they can't understand you, you're better off without them. Personally, I haven't experienced such a thing yet, most my friends think this just a phase for me. Whenever I call their partners out on their controlling, shit tests etc. they respond by saying, "We'll see when you have a girlfriend/wife." like that's ever going to happen.
