Its very unorthodox for good reason. Maybe it really is the bst option for both of you but there are too many conflicts of interest for me to suggest it. What kind of names is he calling you?

OP this is a bit strange. Therapists cannot hang with their clients. They can lose their license for that. She wants you to leave him for a long time now, and still wants you to, but she also sees him separately on occasion? What do you mean by jabbed? As in vaccinated or punched?

No totally agree. In the one hand it could seem like you’re putting yourself out there too much for someone when there maybe wasnt a signal but on the other hand i think ppl know how much it says about you when you do that. That you know your worth

Oh okay I thought so. I use that a lot. In any case, I asked this girl to do something tomorrow and she agreed without getting into any details about our lives

Never set a first date 20 days in the future. 2 weeks is too long unless you really can't fit in a coffee date or something, but definitely make sure they know that and text them a little here and there to let them know you're not forgetting about them. Have to keep up a little excitement or mystery or anything other than, "Hey. Hi. How's your day. Good. Same" every couple days. That's likely to fizz out unless she's really interested. Unless you two just have awesome chat chemistry, in which ca…

What's hard polarization? I'm at this stage right now with a girl I want to set a date up with and I'm deciding if I should roll with the mystery vibe we have or if she'll want to know a bit more first.

No, I completely got what you were saying. My comments were not in response to you at all actually. I guess the comment I responded to was in response to you, but I didn't read it like that. We all take that L some day, it just matters that you tweak your game a little going forward and develop reflexes that don't reincorporate it. And not blame it on outside forces like some of the whiners.

True but still, so many guys in here are hoping that certain tricks or saying magic words will make up for having little concept of mood and “the moment”. Or really working on yourself

My point was less about dates and more about coworkers. I've only had a few "dates" agree to a date for me in my life and I'm sorry, but that's where they went wrong, that's not on me. I don't string anyone along. You don't know the dynamic of my office and how it would affect me professionally to explicitly tell my coworker I don't want to be friends outside of the office. Maybe my coworker could be a little better at reading people instead of assuming platonic attraction when there is no basis…

Edit: I’m a male but I’m curious what you’d say if I were female

In this scenario, the girl asked me out on the date, so there was no question in my mind at the time of whether she would show up. That was a day or two before right? Life moves fast, it's good to just touch base. When someone makes plans with me I assume the possibility it is was something that sounded good or right in the moment. I have had dates (and people trying to escalate from acquaintance/coworker into friends) set up plans with me that I hope will fizz out because they're not reading me…

You're being too literal about what they said

Unless you’re looking for commitment, don't waste too much time on one girl that isn't receptive That's when you should especially move on.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
