I work in an office where nobody is client or customer-facing. I had shoulder surgery and it took an act of HR to allow me the privilege of not having to wear a tie for a few weeks. Meanwhile, Susan in accounting gets to show off her legs and the several tattoos she has.

Exactly. I hate the double standard of "you don't hit girls." I don't care what gender you are, if you throw the first punch I'm going to defend myself. Don't throw a punch unless you expect to receive one back.

That or the OP got a mob together and the person was subject to vaginalanty vigilante justice.

I would love to see the reply to that comment.

That.... Sounds highly improbably and virtually completely impossible.

I for one would like to know how hitting someone in the shoulder translates to a sexual assault charge.

I remember when I heard that statement and how ridiculous it was. The soldiers that lose life and limb, they're obviously not the primary victims. F that.

Or a grad student. Clearly anyone trying to get a master's or doctorate is a creeper.

Seriously. I was in college (around 2006) as a 23 year old junior and ended up dating an 18 year-old freshman. I can only imagine what would have happened if that occurred in this day and age.

Ignorance. The answer is ignorance.

I believe this would fall under Moore vs. Regents of the Univ of California. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moore_v._Regents_of_the_University_of_California

It's evidence of your mindset and hers. Any half wit officer or DA would understand that.

SAVE THE TEXT MESSAGES. This is the only proof you have that what you did was consensual. Save your text messages and he ones from the website. It's the only evidence you have and unfortunately without it if any charges are based on he said/she said being male you are at a disadvantage. Keep whatever messages you have from her. It might also not be a bad idea to message the website and explain what happened if things do go south because she's being a predator.

No, no, no! I drink the tears of angels. Why, why do they think I drink the blood of my victims? I merely bathe in it.

Heterosexual white guy here. Don't feel privileged. Life is what you make of it with blood, sweat and tears, with a little luck.

Not when your algebra teacher is a former Jesuit priest.

The ignorance of some people, yet how confident they are drives me mad. Any 13 year old knows how involuntary an erection can be. "Oh look, it's algebra, time for a boner." Somehow I don't think math can be that arousing. I can also speak from the experience of getting an erection from the unwanted touching of someone when I was not interested and didn't want to have sex and all I could think was "shit shit shit not now! I don't want to send those signals!" My body was disagreeing with my brain …

I didn't mean to imply that the only way a man can be raped is at gunpoint. There are just narrow-minded people that think any sexual encounter a man is involved in is one that the man wants. I should have phrased the tag better.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
