And then everyone started clapping and the manager of the gym came out and gave you $100%

Get ripped, grow a beard, don't give a fuck.

tbh it really comes down to this, it's hilarious how much better your results are when you replace quirky / funny pictures with you in modeling poses.

1) Do not get together with girls from work. Ask her out for a drink right before you leave. 2) Do not go for her right after she broke up with her boyfriend. If she rejects you now and says she needs time, you're already chasing. 3) Do, however, leave her be until you leave your workplace.

You worded this a lot better than I did, and I agree. There's obviously a lot more going on in the 'nice guy' dynamic, and you put it well. One becomes a true alpha once they don't seem to give a fuck. You're right that by thinking about yourself, and going for the 15-30 minute fuck instead of the 5 minute bust, is the right way to accomplish both 1) pleasing yourself and 2) pleasing her without making it seem like that was your worry / objective.

I disagree. Your classic nice guy does not care about the girl - he cares about tricking her into sex. Like /u/RiseAboveRuin said, men and women are different. Respect the difference. Any real man takes care of his woman just as he would expect her to take care of him.

She reciprocated with a lot more emotional crap than me, I tried to salvage it once I realized by getting her to talk about herself and her issues. But I appreciate your bluntness. I have some (very limited) experience with girls that were 22+, and girls in high school are very different - we'll see what happens.

As someone pretty new to all of this (just turned 18), how much has it compromised my chances if I have talked about feelings or emotions with a girl that I've known for a long time, but have only recently become interested in?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
