It doesn't matter how eloquently you write - you don't have a technical background in mathematics and statistics; therefore you aren't qualified to speak in regards to what is and isn't incompetent.

Lol, since when should you give a fuck about a company you work for?

Actuarial science is applied statistics, not business. I find it pretty funny how you're feeling yourself up with that unnecessary economics degree - it won't be helping you in any competitive quant positions. Business, finance, and economics are all bullshit degrees.

It's sad your post is getting downvoted when you're speaking the truth. It's probably IT/devops and webdevs who didn't learn the math and physics.

Did you bother to read the entire thing and find out how long the withdrawal lasts? Discontinuation symptoms typically appear within three days of stopping antidepressant medication or initiating a medication taper, though it has been reported that reactions may occur within hours of the first missed dose.9 Untreated symptoms are usually mild and resolve spontaneously in one to two weeks.19 In rare but more serious cases involving psychosis, catatonia, or severe cognitive impairment, immediate p…

That's a load of bullshit. When I stop taking Trazodone my motivation and ability to enjoy things becomes significantly diminished.

Dissocative anesthetics do not have the safety profile of psychedelics. They're very addictive and can cause brain damage: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3713393/ Not to mention regular cocaine users are at high risk of heart failure...

Are you sure you you got LSD? Around 2012-2013, there were plenty of shitty research chemicals making their way as LSD. 25x-NBOME pretty much replaced all the LSD locally because it's so much easier to acquire and is extremely profitable.

You don't get to specialize into AI until graduate school.

I remember finding some random forum where other people listed the same problems I was having. Google 'modafinil memory loss' 'modafinil speech' 'modafinil difficulty expressing thoughts'. I was taking either 100mg per day. I was going to a top 10 clinic in the US and told my psychiatrist who was a resident... She attributed the memory problems to the fact that I was using Cannabis at the time, but that's a load of shit as I've never experienced any of this before taking Modafinil and others hav…

Have you taken Modafinil long term? If not, have fun with destroying your ability to learn new material, retain information, and verbal skills. Source: Someone who took Modafinil everyday as prescribed for 8 months and completely regrets it.

Don't you love it when all the arm-chair psychiatrists on the sub think they know more than the professionals who went to graduate or medical school?

Just because they affect the same receptors does not mean they have the same receptor binding affinity.

It is not the same as a line of cocaine. Cocaine is a hedonistic drug; it has no attributes that are conducive for producitivty, and any amount of it is order of magnitudes more cardiotoxic than a low dose Adderall.

Decreasing willpower? That's the case if you're using them as a crutch rather than a tool.

I don't know why everyone shits on ADHD medications. They're great for productivity; you just need to find one that doesn't give you awful side effects.

You are deluded if you think you are going to be able to work on "the next generation of financial software" without a BS, or even MS/PhD in computer science or engineering. It's safe to assume from your response that you don't know what machine learning and artificial neural networks are. It's how the recent, cutting-edge advancements in many fields are being made; it's also the number one reason of why automation is becoming a reality. You can't do perform any of that without Calculus, Discret…

If you do bullshit your way through classes and manage to get a perfect GPA, good luck at passing the technical interview for high-paying, high-skill jobs. The frauds will be detected immediately. Even if you do manage to get by, don't be surprised if you get fired because your performance isn't where it needs to be.

Do you seriously think you're going to be able to compete against computer science, electrical/computer engineering, and math grads with your finance degree? Employers don't give a shit if you have minor in computer science as it's not enough for those types of jobs.
