Yurp, but reading the rest of that thread has a lot "but when" or "in this situation" caveats. This thread, in the Men's Rights forums, somehow seems more reasonable. Edit: Not to imply that Men's Rights can't be reasonable, more to imply that it's surprising that TwoX is less sympathetic.

I dunno, reading the TwoX thread itself, a lot of women are coming out and saying "it's not really rape, you should be honest with your boyfriend" which kinda boggles my mind. If you say no and he keeps going that's sort of rape by the plainest and simplest definition. I'm not going to say she should or shouldn't tell her boyfriend what happened but I definitely think she has a right to feel assaulted by the other man in question, and saying she's "crazy" and trying to filter out what really hap…

If you don't think r/atheism does things through low, quasi-satirical bullying, then you don't read a lot of r/atheism Yup. Any issues I have with SRS are the same issues I have with r/atheism: That the idea of trying to promote equality through sniping and demeaning people on the other side is bound to end with everyone just pissed off. That said, SRS is not r/feminisms, it's not the subreddit for a polite political discourse. It's an unapologetic circlejerk with rules clearly laid out in the s…

Yeah, SRS definitely cultivates the image of "men hating, foreskin cutting femiNazis" deliberately. There are a lot of reasonable people who lurk and post there, but the most upvoted comments tend to be the ones that are the most outlandish and vitriolic, and those comments usually tend to be satire of the kind of comments they are calling out (which are generally made without any trace of satire). I think they're generally a positive element of the internet: anything that helps call out the ram…

Yeah, I'm not sure where "she later gave consent" means that "she said no" means nothing. The word "no" means "no"; you don't take a no and turn it into a yes, you take a no as a no and respect that decision. WTF guys.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
