There were some good points made in this article, yet... it seemed very one-dimensional, and the author projects a very rigid mindset. I've lived with the same woman for 30 years and it wouldn't have worked if I'd been that rigid.

If some millionaire was to say he slept with prostitutes they wouldn't bat an eye. Note the popularity of the movie "Pretty Woman". Apparently it's even OK that he marries the prostitute, as long as he's rich...

As a man married almost 30 years, this is spot-on. We had our tumultuous times early in the relationship, before we got married, but we worked it out by being adults. I did almost "next" her at one point but the threat of it brought her around. Never needed to do that again. It's easy to say "next that bitch!" over and over, but at some point you may decide that a relationship is worth working for. what they want is the illusion of egalitarianism, with the comfort of being dominated. Truth. Any …

I had a landlord who was a nit-picky asshole. We liked the house but when he raised the rent a second time we decided to move. We cleaned the house until it was immaculate - cleaner than when we moved in. I was actually buying a house, so I really needed the security deposit back. He claimed we left the place dirty and damaged, so we weren't getting a dime. (Always take pictures on the day you move in - we didn't.) So I thought, alright motherfucker, you wanna nit-pick, I'll nit-pick. I research…

The low sex drive thing is an interesting point. I had way too high a sex drive to even consider taking myself out of the competition. Nor did I have that bitterness I sense in some MGTOW guys. I've already bred so "my" genes have been passed on. Of course they're not "mine" at all. I tell my kids, "You say you don't want kids, but be very careful - DNA has its own agenda."

When my friend's wife asked for a divorce, she also asked him to move out. He was shattered by her wanting a divorce, completely blindsided, but the thought of moving out of the house he paid for just sounded completely absurd. He said that if she wanted out of the relationship she could get out of the house too. He said she just looked at him like "but the man is supposed to go when I'm done with him!" She argued that she needed to stay in the house "to give the children a stable environment" a…

I've seen more than one woman in /r/keto mention this phenomenon too. Change diet, lose 50 or 100 pounds, all the sudden there is hostility and "C'mon, eat this junk food with us, what, you're too good for us all the sudden?"

My friend went on and on and on about his divorce. Truth to tell, it was pretty bad. But for over a year it was, "she did this" and she did that". I finally said to him, "look, there's three sides to the story - her side, your side, and the truth." In his case it was the wife who initiated the divorce. He was the first to admit that he wasn't perfect, but she was playing a "grass is greener" game.

No, I get what you're saying. I didn't want to make it sound like she was barking orders or anything. And I can see the role of a sous chef when making complex dishes. Maybe she thinks I'm really lending a hand when I get the mixing cup that's two steps from her, I dunno. But to my daughter and I, it just looks like she's asking just to get me to do it for no other reason than that she can. The more annoying one is when she tries to get me to jump for her friends. None of this is a big deal to m…

My wife is pretty self-reliant, but she does do this as a shit test occasionally. Sometimes she wants company when she's cooking, and sometimes I join her. If it's conversation she's looking for, that's fine. But a lot of times she'll ask me to hand her something that's two steps away from her, and just as far from me. "Hand me that measuring cup." "Get down the big mixing bowl." Even my teen daughter notices her doing it - "Mom, it's right there!" - boy does that earn a glare. I don't know if s…

The movies and TV shows always show petite women kicking serious ass on big tall muscled guys. It's ridiculous. I tell my daughters that while it would definitely not hurt to take a self-defense course, don't fool yourself into believing that you'll match some thug's upper body strength and the fact that they are used to getting hit, therefore ready for it when it happens.

I was going to say something along these lines, about how I approach riding my motorcycle. A little bit of fear keeps you sharp and ready. Early on, it helps you understand the risks and take reasonable precautions. But after that point, fear only holds you back. I try to explain to new riders that you only get really good after you break through the fear (well, and a lot of seat time too, practice counts in anything). Half-measures and not leaning over far enough in corners is actually riskier.…

That's true. No one really knows why sociopaths don't have empathy. The traits are there from the beginning, so it is tempting to ascribe it to genetics, but who knows. Also, your example mentions rage, and sociopaths rarely rage to get their way. It's frightening, in fact, how smooth and friendly they can be. I was thrown into the company of a girl who was about 7 or so, and she was just ANGRY about everything. I've observed her on several occasions, so it wasn't like she was simply having an o…

It falls to 0 if her only value and her attention goes to making her looks more appealing. Absolutely. There were a few stunning girls in HS that all the guys drooled over, but they just didn't stir my dick. Talking to them was just... "nothing there:. They were all front. Now, there's nothing wrong with making yourself look good, male or female; but if that's the ONLY thing you're about, I'm bored.

Yep. I didn't know they called it a "handicap". But males of various species often evolve with body features which serve no direct survival purpose. They're just for display, usually somewhat wasteful of bodily resources. As you say, they exist solely to tell the female, "Look, I'm healthy and well-fed enough to grow this useless thing, so you can see I'd make a good mating partner!" Male peacock tail feathers are the classic example.

I've been married for 30+ years and it worked out very well. But I've seen way too many of my male friends and relatives get completely fucked over by their wives and the courts. Several marriages that looked solid and loving for years, suddenly blew up in a spectacular way. So I'm never certain if I did things right, or got completely lucky, or some mixture of the two. I want to say "just go ahead, it'll work out" but I have no confidence in telling anyone that. Looking back, I found that the t…

It seems when it comes to love, women value courage and a willingness to take risks over kindness and altruism. Interesting. I was extremely bluepill when I was in my early 20s, but I also rode a motorcycle. I nearly dumped one girl off the back - I yanked the throttle wide-open to pass a car and forgot to warn her - when I saw her heels fly up in my peripheral vision, I slammed the throttle shut and she flew forward and stayed on the seat. I was sure she'd tell me to fuck off right then and I'd…

I thought it was interesting that some chores, dishes for example, didn't seem to make much difference, but more traditional chores such as laundry or cooking did. I've been married a long time and yes, I do the dishes when they need doing. I figure that I'm contributing to the mess in the house and everyone has to pull their weight. But mostly I keep the cars in running order, do repairs on the house (including building an addition and other construction work), and other typical male roles. I d…

That's a great thought. I thoroughly believed all the bluepill thought, suffered through several unrequited loves for years because I believed I knew the best ways to get women to love me. I sort of broke out of it without realizing it - after all that pain, I began to take a much different attitude toward women and relationships purely out of self-defense. I had decided that women would have to take me on my own terms. Yet in my conscious mind I went on believing all the bluepill thoughts for y…

My daughters are 27 and 18, I won't say NAWALT, but I still think they'll not ruin any guys' lives. They learned a lot of scepticism and critical thinking at our house. I was so proud when my oldest daughter came home from college one weekend, spitting nails about the second-wave feminist propaganda forced on her by the school. She believes in equality for women, she but detests politically-correct Feminism.

John Taylor Gatto speaks Truth. He's the RedPill of the whole "schooling" establishment. Once you read him you'll never think of school the same way again. And when you talk to people about it, you'll get BluePill-type reactions - "that's crazy! do you hate education? should we just let the children become ignorant barbarians?"

Hmm - same as you - I like to explore alternate motivations/causes for events in the world. My wife accepts it, up to a point - seems to appreciate my questioning - but then she gets uncomfortable when I follow it where it goes. Then she tunes out or changes the subject. Of course I tune out the endless rehashing of friend/relative relationship issues that are most important to her, so...

FYI... I [M] agree with many of the points about the legal snares involved with marriage. I also wonder at the whole argument about gay marriage - in my opinion, the government should NOT be involved at all - gay or straight. Without government involvement none of the legal snares would exist, and no arguments about who could marry who. I also wanted to tell you, directly, that I've been married 30+ years and I have few regrets. She got pregnant when we were lovers, and I said that while I would…

KZ1000? Sweet! I fell in love with a friend's KZ900 before I had a license, later, a co-worker sold me his KZ650 with only 3000 miles on it. I rode that KZ for 17 years, 60,000 miles! Now I have a Honda CBR1100XX Blackbird, one of the finest motorcycles ever made. I just love it more every time I ride it. It's up to 57,000 miles and I expect to at least double that eventually. I guess motorcycle riding implies Alpha status, not giving a fuck... It's sad though, all the guys I rode with in my ear…

Well I'm hardly a guru myself. I certainly was never a player. I still have one cringe-inducing memory of sitting in a female friend's dorm room 'til late in the night, hoping that if I stayed there long enough and told her I was too buzzed to go home, she'd give me sex. Hah. I was such a dumbass. My head was stuffed full of bluepill nonsense. And I really believed it would work. Now that I've been married for almost 30 years, I think this is why we've had a good relationship. As I said in another thread, I was very very beta when I was younger - and that didn't work for me at all. I suffered through two very painful unrequited loves, and ended up being somewhat bitter about it. The mindset I was in at the time I met my wife was "I am who I am, take me or leave me, I'm not going to plead for your affections. I've tried that and it doesn't work. I will gladly have sex wit…

I've been married almost 30 years and this is sound advice. I love my work and I could think about it all day long. But what's the point of being in a relationship if you don't want to be with that person? Sure, sometimes she asks for more than I'm willing to give, it's only natural for her. The old thing about "why don't you share your feelings more?" "you couldn't handle it if I did." But overall it's been very good. We've raised three great kids to adulthood and that is among the best achieve…

I marched against the Iraq War, and there were a huge number of people in D.C. that day, far more than was apparent from the media shots of the march. All walks of people were there, not just leftists. But most of the speeches were all about Palestine, "social justice", and a half-dozen other causes. They would give a brief denunciation of the upcoming war, then go off about their own pet topic. You could a lot of people in the crowd frowning. This is not why we're here. Stay on message, dammit.…

I do remember reading this back when first exposed to the manosphere, but it's well worth a re-read. I've seen that happen to even savvy businesswomen: they get bogged down in the details of personal perception and group dynamics and they take every. little. thing. personally. Oh, man, I've seen it. A woman I know very well (cough my wife) is working part-time at a local office. It's not a high-level position but it does require a certain level of financial competence. I recall a similar story back in the dot bomb era. (I don't have a link unfortunately.) A woman said she was tired of working at "male dominated" software companies. She managed to round up some funding to start a software company making games (or websites? I don't remember) targeted at girls. And yes, she was going to prove her point to the world about how wonderfully women work together, by only hiring women. She was pretty damn honest in her post-mortem of the company. She realized that while…

The "abusive relationship" line these women feed you is a flat-out lie in the vast majority of cases. My friend's wife chose divorce. He loved her and was (at first) willing to work it out. But she had her eye on greener pastures already. She claimed he abused her, but when he asked for examples it was just like you said. "You yell too much" (he was from an Italian family, and yeah, when she did stupid shit, he got animated). "I don't feel appreciated." She didn't mention it but all along she ha…

Same with my wife, she is feminine but also willing to put up with physical hardship (up to a point). Camping with her was always a pleasure because she put up with any conditions and made jokes about it. For our 20th anniversary, I was sort of joking when I suggested we take a 1600 mile motorcycle trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains, but she said yes immediately. And she was a trooper on that trip. My mom got a nasty anti-smoking lecture from her doctor when she was 60 (as if she was going to quit at that age). He told her sternly he wasn't sure he should keep seeing her if she didn't quit. She said "don't worry yourself about it" and stopped going to the doctor completely. She continued to smoke two packs a day and lived on in reasonably good health 'til age 80. I'm convinced it's because she didn't get all those prescriptions.

Well, I've been married for 27 years and it's mostly been great, but from what I see on the internets, I've apparently been amazingly lucky. I was blue-pill all the way when I was younger, but by my mid-20s I had unconsciously adopted some red-pill ideas. Consciously I was still very much blue-pill, I spouted the same old shit. But in my dealings with women I had decided that I just didn't give a crap any more. If she wants me, she can take what I'm offering or go away, I don't care. I'll be sar…

He married her, she got the green card. They had a kid of their own. That was 17 years ago. Athiest women became that way after reading or listening to something a strong man said. If my mom was still alive, I'd ask her about that. Her mother was very domineering, her father an amiable beta. My mom used to say that she was sitting in church one Sunday listening to the story about how woman was created from Adam's rib, she immediately thought "that's nonsense!" Then as the preacher droned on, she thought "hang on, all of these bible stories are nonsense!" So she stopped going to church.
