That's a very entertaining long post. When people say they want to stay at home and shop online to avoid people, 99% of them mean avoiding women. Men are a lot more reasonable and easier to interact with.

Context: I'm in a serious breakup and even gave my wife divorce papers to sign. My wife basically begs me to stay with her, and promises that we'll build our relationship anew, however she is exactly the same nagging bitch and doesn't even understand it.

Hi Friend, My situation isn't as dire as yours, but here is how I've been coping with the stress for the last half a year. I'm reading stoics. Try the Daily Stoic book. It takes 1-2 minutes to read a quote the first thing in the morning. Then I found Jordan Peterson who told me to clean my room. I did. Now I'm working on cleaning my house. A few friends of mine are very very supportive, even though they are blue pilled. I told them I'm miserable and they supported me in becoming free from nagg…

Had a robo vacuum cleaner and hated it. It takes a lot of time to remove everything from the floor. Simpler to just take a big Dyson vacuum cleaner and do it all yourself. It's also faster. 20 minutes of work instead of listening to the roar of the robot for 2 hours .

I told her that I can't take it anymore, that we're done, that she has to start taking care of herself. The marriage wasn't a meat grinder, what happened to me was a death by a thousand cuts. I can't say that she was a raging cunt, but she does take everything for granted. I'm 99% certain I don't want her back. The 1% is slightly bothering me, but I'm ready to take responsibility and cut off this possibility.

She flies away in less than a week and then she won't come back to my apartment. There is a possibility she'll stay in her mother country forever. This will make it so much easier for all of us. Even if she comes back, she has arranged to live with friends for a while. About being used by her. I see your point but I disagree. Flirt or have sex - yes, this is what she tries to do occasionally, but I don't let her. She says that at this point it will be sex without obligations. I don't believe it …

Some of the worst wounds bothering me are from the first year of marriage and from the half of the marriage duration. All the definitions apply.

Both subs are biased, I prefer this sub. I admit that I am asking the question whether continuing the relationship is the right thing to do. But I already know the answer that it isn't, I'm just afraid of admitting it. So yes, I'll be going my own way from now on.

You are absolutely right. I can't wait for her to fly away in less than a week.

I want to get over the wounds. I could go full monk, but then the thought about the time together will continue to make me feel angry and hurt. That's not true monk mentality. I picture a monk in a shaolin temple who meditates, is at ease with himself and the universe, and no crap, including the crap from the past, get disturb his peace. This is the kind of monk I'm aiming to be in my busy day-to-day life.

Thank you. You are probably right. I can't figure out if us not growing together was somehow my fault. Whether I could do it all over again to actually grow together.

They also like to go to Spa. I completely don't get the idea of a spa. I do my exercises and my muscles and joints are ok. I eat healthy and my skin is ok. Occasionally I'll go to my friend's place to sit in a sauna. Why pay $$$$ for something so unnecessary I just can't understand.

Interesting point of view. Suggestions of better channels very welcome. I'm not worried at all about the collapse of society or anything like that, I was actually looking to learn how to hike for a week and survive. For example in Iceland, or high in the Alps.

Not yet, started with the last playlist - exercises for getting in shape. However, I'm taking a good care of my finances, read a few books on the topic, have a plaintext accounting system (beancount+fava). Will check it out, maybe there still is something I'm missing :)

I'm ok with mgtow being quarantined. It means reddit does everything possible to let us go our own way without attracting unwanted attention.

I understand what you mean, I feel the same but don't let it bother me. Practiced stoicism before swallowing the terminal dose of red pill. I don't let it bother me that boorish people are doing boorish things , I don't give them opportunities to hurt me.

This is exactly what I don't understand. My confidence is alright. I'm keeping healthy by doing other sports. Why do you need a bigger body? I don't need it. I don't care if somebody gets impressed or not, particularly women. Think about a bouldering wall. That activity requires lots of physical strength, skill and mental strength. The athletes aren't bulky hulks but are damn strong, and skilled. What kind of skills does lifting weights develop? I just don't understand what can possibly be exc…

None, I gave you easy targets :D I've always been interested in kung-fu. A long time ago did something similar for a year and enjoyed it. Will check it out when the lockdown is lifted.

The entitlement. Recently had a married couple tell me about their first vacation together. She: He always takes bad photos of me. He: You never hold still. How am I supposed to even take photos of you? She: He got better at taking photos with time, but he had to overcome some suffering first. He: Wasn't me suffering. If you don't like the photos I'm taking, why should I even bother?

Interesting story, man. What works for me is reading Stoics and "12 rules for life", which teaches me that the meaning of life is in owning my own life and becoming a better person everyday. Your interpretation of the books may be completely different and that's fine :) Consider checking them out.

She was offered a ride, a service which costs 20-100$. That was enough to "coerce" her. That shows how much she values her integrity.

The quote is good but I remember hearing this quote 10-15 years ago in some other movie, way before I got married. That quote is what kept me from making the mistake of buying any property during the marriage.

The point about the visa is spot on. She has no job, she needs to extend the visa by June. If she agrees to a divorce she's screwed. If she doesn't agree to the divorce I can still go to court and ask for provisional divorce measures, and she's screwed. Wow, you made my day, dude! :)

I'm trying really hard to find anything that I get or can get from the relationship. And I can't find anything at all. There is a joke that free shit has the best quality for its price. My relationship has degraded to the opposite - the price is high, but the quality is not there anymore.

Thank you, I needed to hear this. What you say is obvious to me, but in this moment of weakness I need a tiny little amount of support.

In this country the alimony is limited to 1y (in cases like mine - no kids, and wife doesn't work), I'm already on the hook.

I asked her how she got her university diploma, she tells me that simps did all the work for her, she only studied the theory. The diploma is useless. She went through school and university and didn't learn to learn.

Not locker room, but something that bothers me to this day. Spent evening at a friend's place: me, my wife, friend, his wife. His wife (doesn't work) says that she would like to travel to some country, but her husband does want to go there. My wife replies explaining how to get what she wants. She says, start by seeding the idea that travelling to that country will make you very happy, and eventually the husband will become ecstatic to go that place with you. Both my friend and I were in the sam…

She passed the same exams, she learned the same topics. Unlike some other girls who studies journalism or poetry, she studied something worth studying. According to the book the sex partners should be equal intellectually. It's easy to think that people who studied the same major as me, are as smart as me. I will never believe that people studying journalism are as smart as me :)
