Okay, think about this for a second, do you think I would be at this level in my TRP journey and the idea of 'find a hobby' hasn't crossed my mind? I've talked to men, who pretty much empty shells of men at this point, who have plenty of hobbies. They use hobbies as a way of escaping their meaningless existence. I don't want to distract myself with just 'hobbies'.

I appreciate your response and the kind words. Honestly I don't have any hobbies that interest me right now outside of stand-up comedy which suites me because I tend to be a cynical, deep thinker type that tend to find their niche in comedy. My way of volunteering is seeing military vets pro-bono, otherwise I don't have any free time to volunteer. As far as creating something, I'm just not feeling interested in doing so lately. My dream is to do stand up comedy on the side, but don't have the available free time to do that. I'm a rather cynical, deep thinking, insightful person and I want to use my talents through comedy. Just the free time thing makes that very difficult to pursue at the moment.

I appreciate your response. Eliminating the idea of the self through meditation is worth doing, but whose results are intangible and slow going. I've been practicing off and on for the last year and have taken it seriously within the past month. Yeah my girlfriend and I talked about kids and luckily we both share the same perspective of 'maybe down the road we might want kids, but for now, let's explore this fucking planet'. I haven't even begun to think how I'm going to invest my money. I never had money growing up. I get my first paycheck this Friday, and it's already double what I usually live on for a month at a time (I get paid twice a money, so it will be quadruple). I read a fair amount of philosophy and non-fiction literature exploring spirituality. I'm an atheist and I don't see that changing in the foreseeable future, so the idea of "finding universal answers" just isn't a motivating factor for me, particularly with regard to religion and deities.
