Sounds like the same exact thing would happen in a hyper conservative environment too. I don't see many people taking off a woman's burka to give her chest compressions. Doubt anyone would open the blouse of a woman who collapsed in church.

Thanks, that makes sense!

Women sometimes "use" men for validation to their own detriment - ironically these are the types of women that red pill men can successfully "plate" by using their own insecurity against them

"Red pill is very similar to a traumatic experience " That's an interesting statement, could you elaborate on that?

Is it though? I've literally seen this posted three times just today, and a few times over the past week. Like. I get it, it's messed up, but we've all seen it by now

Lol why would you try to say anything in FDS? They ban all men on sight XD

Why go straight to calling someone a cunt? Seriously, work on your anger issues

Yeah, I'm pretty biased against manipulative losers who abuse women. I personally don't find anything wrong with holding men accountable for their shitty actions. I'm guessing that as a man, you're probably pretty biased in the opposite direction. It sure sucks when people call out your bullshit

Why does it bother you so much that some women have good self esteem? So what if in your view they're conceited, you don't have to date them. And their strategy of demanding expensive dates from the begining makes them very easy to avoid. Shouldn't that be a good thing?
/r/ExRedPill05/11/20 05:09 PM

FDS is about trying to find a good man, not going their own way... It literally stands for female DATING strategy.

Ok, so you clearly haven't read anything they talk about then. Or if you've read it, you've really missed the point.
/r/ExRedPill01/11/20 07:02 PM

It's really not lol. FDS teaches women to make their expectations clear off the bat with the goal if not wasting anyone's time - theirs, or the men's. The goal isn't to find a man to manipulate, but to find man with compatible attitude. Expecting a nice first date sets the tone and lets men nope out before anythings even started. Also, in this case "guys thinking about themselves" and "wanting something from the woman" amounts to guys lying to and manipulating women into sex. That's not an appro…

It rubs me the wrong way when people paint women standing up for themselves as abusive. P.S. Keep your insulting assumptions to yourself. You don't know me

So now I'm obsessed with men and bullying people? OK, bud.

Men should go their own way if they want to, but they never do, do they? They just complain about how all women are bitches instead.

Yup lol. Whenever I hear people talking about FDS I think "are there 2 different subs or something?"

I know plenty of such men. It's not unreachable or unreasonable and with full honesty- I would MUCH rather remain alone forever than settle for anything less.
/r/ExRedPill30/10/20 08:49 PM
8

It's bad because it means shitty jerks are less likely to get sex. That's the real reason men are so pissed off about that sub. Yeah, FDS isn't perfect, but at its core it strives to teach women to raise their standards because it's better to be alone than in a toxic relationship.

HVM: not abusive, manipulative, or neglectful, has good hygene and takes care of himself, has a job, is thoughtful and considerate, doesn't play games. This is considered an unreasonably high expectation? That's pretty sad for the guys saying so. What a self own.

I've seen quite a few FDS members talk about their own successful relationships. Although it's not surprising that this would be rare

The "high value male" is in essence a man who treats a woman well, not an "alpha" like the TRP concept. I don't see what it is about wanting to be treated well that makes a woman "insecure". It's entirely the opposite- it's about being secure in your own life and achievements so you don't have to put up with men treating you badly
/r/ExRedPill30/10/20 05:01 PM
11

They only "shit on men" who are shitty. FDS calls out bad behavior and encourages women not to settle for men who mistreat them. TRP teaches men how to manipulate and emotionally abuse women into sleeping with them. And yet these two things are constantly said to be the same. It's almost like... There's a double standard or something for how men and women are expected to behave.

Male children do worse when they lack male role models. I.E. its less mommy issues and more daddy issues

Obviously people are attracted to attractive people! I think this is often the main problem for guys who can't find dates- they are deeply unnatractive though usually in ways that can be fixed. I.E. they have a bad attitude/personality, they treat others like shit, they're not keeping up with hygene/fitness/etc. This is why the red pill seems like it initially works- it gives guys some simple rules to follow that help them be more attractive in mainstream ways. Sadly the attitude they promote is…

You mean in India specifically? Cause like I said this practice is pretty prevalent worldwide

Rape is illegal too but it still happens. You need to change the culture to change the dowry system, a law isnt enough
/r/MensRights26/08/20 05:32 PM

I never said it was a solution, it was just an observation how systems that are sexist towards women can backfire on men

Bride kidnapping happens all around the world, just not so much in India apparently (according to Wikipedia)
/r/MensRights26/08/20 03:02 PM
10

Ok that makes more sense, thank you Edit: Looked into it a bit and doesn't this seem like an odd unintended result of sexism? The whole dowry system seems biased against women, and this is one way it splashes back on men
/r/MensRights26/08/20 02:56 PM

Serious Question- if dowry is so important why kidnap someone who can't pay it? Wouldn't you be better off just finding a different guy?

It's a little more complicated than that, its not really "you have both" situation. Some babies with ambiguous genitals do get surgical interventions though this seems to be a harmful practice that causes more issues. Pretty sure the rate of intersex people is less than 1% and most conditions are not immediately obvious

I think it would be really helpful for men as a whole to have closer bonds/friendships with each other. I definitely agree that men have less social bonds than women do, and that's a huge issue that leads to loneliness, depression, etc. It's a shame that men feel like they're only allowed to "open up" with a romantic partner, and puts a lot of pressure on the partner and the whole idea of partnership. I'm sorry you've been going through bad stuff, hope you feel better soon!

Why are you acting like "women have to deal with the same shit guys do" is some sort of "gotcha"? That was the point of my comment. OP was under the impression that women and girls don't have the same fears as guys do when it comes to asking someone out. The purpose of my comment was to explain that this observation was incorrect. You're being needlessly antagonistic, but at least we can agree on the fact that we need to make new rules.

Working out makes you more fit, which makes you more attractive... of COURSE it helps with dating! Honestly, their "work out, have good hygiene, dress well, have interests and hobbies" advice is probably way more helpful to dating then all their "dating tricks"

I feel like guys get sucked into the red pill because it claims to offer "cheat codes" for life. They do have some good advice about bettering yourself, and of course if you improve your health and appearance, focus on your career and enrich your life with hobbies, you'll feel better and be more successful! So they take it to mean the other (misogynistic) advice is ALSO true. If it was possible to separate the "self help" aspects from the "treat women like they're sub human" aspects that would b…

There are a lot of women and girls who want to ask out guys but are afraid that it will make them seem unfeminine and scare the guy away. Others are stopped by fear of rejection. And ultimately- being "pursued" the way a lot of women and girls experience it isn't a good thing. It feels like being a piece of meat circled by hungry sharks while waiting and hoping that a "good one" happens to come along, while not feeling empowered to actually go after a "good one" If a woman stays single her entir…

My comment contains credible facts, and you're so butthurt over it you're going to accuse me of racism? Great rebuttal. P.S. The vast majority of terrorists in America are violent white men with guns.

Ok. Well. It doesn't seem like you have any real understanding of what title IX is. If you were right, then Title IX would mean that all bathrooms, locker rooms, sports teams, dorm rooms, etc. would have to be co-ed. That's... insane. The actual purpose of Title IX is to "prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex in any education program or activity that is federally funded." In LARGE part it was meant to address women's sports teams being underfunded in the university setting. The point isn't…

Fyi "designate" would be better. You're right that it's not the University's responsibility to provide a hookup room, but there's clearly more to it. IMO if a group of people want to make a club/organization/etc. and they want a designated room/area, there's nothing wrong with them going down the the faculty and presenting their case. Clearly in this situation the faculty decided they had good reasons behind their request and provided such a space. It's not discrimination unless men asked for a …

Why do you get to decide what things are allowed to be the basis of a club and what things aren't? Why is liking the same TV shows or hobbies more worthy of a club than being of the same sexual orientation or other aspect of identity? Is it so impossible to believe that being gay/bi/whatever may bring with it certain unique challenges or interests, that gay people may want to discuss with each other? If nothing else, having a club for lesbians, for example, is a great way for lesbians to meet ea…

Sure, the stats might be off. But how off would they have to be for men to NOT be the majority of people committing violent and sexual crimes? So much that I find that difficult to believe tbh. And a big list of female teachers raping students doesn't prove anything in a vacuum. Where's the male list?
/r/MensRights18/07/18 04:47 PM

Lol yeah the title is so dramatic. NOT ONE MEN'S SPACE! Admittedly I don't know much about the way Australian Universities work, but you guys don't have men's sports teams? Men's bathrooms/locker rooms?

"woman's room" sounds like a bathroom lol If the bathroom signs weren't underneath, that's what I would have assumed it was

How is it not the same? What exactly do you think they get up to in there? They get together to talk about being queer, plan group activities etc. Not that radically different from a chess club getting together to play or talk about chess, or a book club to talk about books. Would you complain about a chess club meeting because you personally are not interested in chess?

Well... based on 2011 FBI arrest data, 98.9% of forcible rape was committed by men, 93.3% of sex offenses (except forcible rape and prostitution) were committed by men, 79.7% Offenses against the family and children were committed by men. So yeah. Not all men are creepy pedos, but the VAST majority creepy pedos are men. https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2011/crime-in-the-u.s.-2011/tables/table_66_arrests_suburban_areas_by_sex_2011.xls

Sending an email to a faculty member isn't what I'd call controversial, as long as you phrase it politely rather than acting defensive and accusatory.

Do you want a men's only space? Does anyone else? Is anyone stopping you from asking for one? If you've got a group of men who would like a men's only space, I don't see what is so controversial about going to the faculty and asking for one. Nowadays you don't even need to go in person, just find out who to contact and send them an email, all the faculty contact info is up on your University website. Is this something you actually want to happen or are you just angry that someone hasn't already …
