Like any other day. Happened to go to the solstice festival and it was fantastic. I didn't expect or want anything fancy or special, just because of my gender. Isn't that kind of the point?

That would fall under doing your job, in that you can fire someone if keeping them hired is not beneficial to your bottom line. If you can't afford them, its the same as them not doing their job, in that sense.

I think we need to turn the non-discrimination laws around and basically say unless you are 1) not doing your job or 2) performing an illegal activity in a way that intersects with your duties (ie. using work equipment to break some law) you can't be fired. Instead of a whitelist of reasons you can't fire for, we need a blacklist of the only reasons you can.

Sadly it was in his contract that the first three years are fireable for any reason. We need to stiffen what we'll allow ourselves to sign in this country. We give away our rights.
