Terry Gross interviewed Robert Spitzer of the NRA about his book, The Politics of Gun Control after the shooting at Ft. Hood. Additionally, Robin Young of Here & Now has interviewed Suzanna Hupp, a 2nd Amendment activist who watched her parents get gunned down in a restaurant that didn't allow firearms. Her gun was 100 feet away, locked in her truck.

I don't know about the ACLU. They defended the Westboro Baptist Church when they wanted to protest funerals. The ACLU obviously didn't endorse the content of the message, merely the right of the church to send it.

I liken it to wearing a seatbelt. It's not your fault if a drunk driver hits you, but wearing a seatbelt may keep you from being ejected through the windshield. It's a small, reasonable step that a potential victim can take proactively to mitigate risk.

You should be cautious of the consent laws regarding recording in your state. Some states require consent from all recorded parties before a recording can take place. Getting that evidence won't do any good if you get arrested for filming it.

Bi-sexual encompasses every human being, via the binary designations of 'Same Gender' + 'Other Genders'. Ohhhhhhhhhhhh...don't let /r/LGBT hear you talking about a "gender binary." You'll be consumed in a firestorm of social justice. But for real, some transgendered people don't really "fit" into the male/female binary. They're something in between. Pansexualuty is supposed to denote someone potentially attracted to someone of any gender, even the non-traditional ones.

One thing that seemed disturbingly absent from this article was the mention of a prosecution. If the courts were sending people here, it must have been receiving public funds, so surely there was a paper trail. The article mentions a statement from the AG, but it doesn't mention any charges being brought against anyone.

Protip: tech companies design and build what sells. If women don't like big devices, they should speak with their wallets. It's not as though there aren't a myriad of choices out there. If 50% of the smartphone market decides they want smaller phones, I'm pretty sure HTC et al. would comply.

Gay man here. I went to an all-boys high school. I...um...I quite liked it. My school was Catholic, and so LGBT issues were never discussed. I feel like there should be a law requiring women to notify the potential father(s) during their pregnancy and allowing the fathers to "opt-out" of parenting. The father would have the option to forgo paying child support with the understanding that he would waive all parental rights and responsibilities.

Sure thing! Here is an updated look at the results. I've edited the filters to show number of votes per category. The numbers don't quite sync up (I guess some people have empty information on their profiles), but you can get a general idea. You can see that women (who oppose the issue) and democrats (who favor it) are both under-represented in the poll.
