I understand, I prefer a hard truth VS someone sugar coating. As once stated in another thread on /TRP "Being disabled is like playing life on hard mode". I enjoy hard mode x100 but there's sometimes options/opportunities I'm overlooking.

I see, understand, and acknowledge that reality but getting my mind to accept it and rebuilding myself around it are two totally different things. I guess the mindset shift will happen with time and some pressure applied. Appreciate the response

I've noticed this a lot, he talked about his problems of dealing with constant depression with Joe Rogan. I need to take that more into the picture. I'm not one to look at the world in a negative fashion. Even I sometimes have to step away from the nastiness that the TRP reddit can become.

My recovery is 100% done, it's been about 2 months since my surgery. So its all healed up. One of the main stipulations of the surgery for the first month was to 1) Not lift/bendover/anything strenuous and 2) not shower for 3 days. I'm worried of lifting something and stretching out/ruining the stitches in my eye lid. They are 100% never coming out these stitches unless a doctor cuts them. It's purely I'm worried of stretching out the eye lid. Normal people won't have this issue but with this ey…

I know exactly how you feel with the injections deal. I used to get every 3 - 6 weeks injections in my eye. Now I just stare at the needle and think "this is fucking lame". Any needle, blood, shot, the nurses think I'm weird. I smirk and tell them this is a walk in the park.

I'm already making enough money to survive, wayyy too much. I can't go into specific numbers. I need someone who's been in this situation so that I might find a way out of this disability trap. It's honestly not made for people to get off of.

I'm tired of the government in my business/bank accounts. I'm also over the income threshold to even receive disability checks.

Yeah I've never lied to them I'm just curious as to when my next appointment will be with them. They make you swear under perjury of law. Last year in November I went in and had to swear to them without seeing any of my income statements for the 2016 year my EXACT amount of money I would earn. I shit myself in front of that lady, thankfully she was nice and understanding. I need to see a lawyer and get something prewritten before going in that hellish of a place again.

Not anymore thankfully, but it was affecting me to the point in the past where I couldn't leave the house.

You are right on doing the research and working to manage it. I've tried medicating with ibuprofen and it works to some extent, just annoying to take a bunch of pills every 3 hours. I do need to replace a few things about my apartment, one being need to move my bed away from my heater that's drying my eye out, and another running my humidifier 24/7 again, just sucks not being about to see outside from all the condensation (3 gallons of water in the air every day roughly). Doctors have helped me …

Exactly, I'm trying to be my own shrink to keep from paying $100 a hour in this expensive town.

Money isn't the issue, it's transportation. I'm roughly 3/4ths blind seeing 20/125 through a slit in my eye lid. I have to get monthly eye injections from a doctor about 30 mins away. There is no way I can drive, I don't even have my drivers lic. That which is roughly $30 uber ride but ubers aren't always available in my city. They are a hit/miss deal maybe 7 different uber drivers a week come through and hangout at weird hours. I've run through a bunch of options in my head and she's the only r…

Nobody will feed you a passive income stream because for 1) If they knew they'd be wise to not share it and make as much money as possible 2) Very few people actually work towards earning a passive income, 99% of people work at a normal 9-6 because they don't have the patience to scrape together a passive income generator. This topic is an area I excel in and it's not easy. Trust me buddy its not fucking easy. You'll be required to work your ass off, I mean bang your head on a wall hard for week…

"Their typical hobbies include "sleeping, shopping, and netflix". Where do you go to find women that are more interesting than talking to a wall or how do you force yourself to not be bored out of your mind?" I find this a lot too, I just hard next them and move on.... I mean, maybe somebody has a better method with these types of women but they aren't my type. They just aren't worth wasting my time over. I got sh-t to do, food to eat, and life to attend to.

O wow... I'd never make the mistake of taking anyone with me out of this town. I did manage to move out of this town once. I made it all the way down to Florida before medical problems occurred. Now I can't drive and am working on saving up cash to move to a college town across the state line. (30 mins away, light years away to people in this town) I totally agree with you on how a lot of women's "scales" get tipped and a 5 ends up being a 9... I need to work out a solid plan on a) increasing my…

Lets just hope this guy can ditch Canada, move to the US, change his name, get some plastic surgery, and pray 'they' don't sniff him out.

Elliot has some really good videos for getting out of your own head. This is one of my favorites and his most popular one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhJbXPvSDKE
