I've never read something that started off sounding so wonderful and transformed into something so bad by the end

If you're trying to seduce her, do something in the evening (like drinks). Coffee dates give off a platonic vibe.

Don't rely on texting. Build attraction in person. Use the phone for setting dates.

It means she doesn't like you enough to sleep with you

Lol alright I think you’re over exaggerating the impact of wearing headphones. While wearing them may make someone less approachable, I wouldn’t say it makes someone completely unapproachable. My first thought when I see somebody in the gym with headphones on is not “they don’t want to be social and they’re blocking everyone out, let me not talk to them”, it’s that “they’re enjoying listening to music while working out” - that’s literally it. They’re just headphones. If a girl really wants you, …

That's the point I'm trying to make: who cares if it makes you less approachable? The gym is inherently not a place that people go to with the intention of being social. That's why people wear headphones at the gym and not at a club.

You're completely right, but that's not what your post was about. It was about not wearing headphones. You can do everything that you've just listed while still wearing headphones - pause the music, turn it down, or take an earphone out an ear, whatever. I'm not saying to be anti-social at the gym - I've picked up girls at the gym before. I'm saying that people should do whatever it is that makes them more comfortable working out - because they are at the gym to work out (or at least I'd hope).

I agree that working on yourself also means working on your friendliness and learning how to spread positive energy without expectations - but that's what social events and venues are for, not the gym. By your logic, when I go to a club I should go and do pushups on the middle of the dance floor because working out is also working on myself.

I don't wear headphones in the gym, but it's not because I'm trying to find women. The point of the gym is to work on yourself. For many people, listening to music helps them at the gym. Your priorites are backwards.

This is definitely one of the cringiest things I've ever heard - not only in this sub, not only on Reddit as a whole...but on the Internet in general.

The thing is, right now there's no point of even getting up and walking to close the door. If she's not even at the door why bother? It's just wasted effort. Just leave the door open and do nothing. If and when she decides to walk through the door, then you can decide if you want to slam it in her face or let her in. The worst thing you can do is backtrack. Trust what you did and felt at the moment and move on from there.

Just invite her over. You'll know she's ready if she says yes or no.

That is the wrong reason to invest in a couch. Invest in a couch because it's a nice piece of furniture to have in your home regardless. If it so happens to help with game, great.

Do nothing. Seriously. There is nothing for you to "do" to force her to become interested in you again. It shouldn't be a game that you "win". Let her come back on her own and when she does, set a date.

I, a quiet guy, mostly attract talkative girls. It's complementary. They talk, I listen - and they love me for that reason.

I understand your points, but I'm failing to understand why you're comparing performing an instrument in front of an audience to talking to ONE girl. Talking to one girl is not a performance. If anything, playing the guitar = talking to a girl. Playing a guitar in front of an audience = talking to one girl...in front of an audience. You can learn all the theory of how to play guitar. You can learn all the theory of how to talk to a girl. My point is, at the end of the day, you will have to do th…

That’s exactly how people get stuck in the cycle of…not talking to girls. The best way to learn how to talk to girls is to go and talk to girls. The best way to learn how to play guitar is to play guitar. Frankly, your analogy does not make much sense.

Oh wow, that hasn't been my experience with any of the women older than me that I've met and dated. I wasn't aware that my experience isn't typical.

How do you expect to get good at guitar then? It's funny because you're the one that brought up guitar in the first place.
