Now there are exceptions to the rule (notably in rap), but if you pay attention to lyrics which feature female vocalists, then juxtapose them with male lyrics you'll notice a striking pattern. Songs which feature men display signs of longing, desire, need, and want to obtain a woman. While some suggest lust, many suggest themes with a more neutral or emotional tone.
