If you truly want to investigate this scientifically, you would use causal inference and try various fundamental characteristics (height, frame, face, etc.) and superficial characteristics (anything changeable like fashion) as instrumental variables. /r/blackpillscience is way ahead of you

Cope. The point of natural selection is that only the fit survive, plenty of unfit to reproduce individuals are born, just to die (in the case of low value males, alone). The real problem is when society becomes too cucked, too many useless eaters are kept alive by whatever sociocultural nonsense despite being unfit to reproduce. You can do better by rephrasing all of that in math terms: In a free exchange economy of sex and mating, appearance is a necessary condition. If you are not attractive enough, it can be compensated for with other characteristics of value to females. The compensating variation however, is extremely unfavorable for males in the exchange. Personality can be one of those characteristics, but how much value (if any) it offer females can vary, and is not well understood.

Speaking as an ecology and evolutionary biology fag, your understanding of the expression of genetic traits and natural selection itself is much too simplistic. Males and females of our species face different selection pressures, and evolution has endowed males and females with different instinctual responses for sexual selection.
