I've noticed this phenomenon myself and have wondered about it for years. My first experience was falling asleep on the bus and accidentally leaned on the person next to me, which happened to be an overweight, unattractive woman. She moved to the seat behind me and immediately starts telling the guy she sat next to that me leaning against her had been a form of unwanted sexual contact.
