Just to let you know... there are women who feel just as undesired and lonely: http://www.theestablishment.co/2016/03/17/33-and-never-been-kissed/

Dude, try it for five minutes a day. If you don't have patience to sit try a different kind of meditation like yoga or walking meditation at first until you're more practiced at learning to clear your mind. You've been offered solid good advice here. If you don't want to take it fine, but don't make excuses like not being patient enough. That is quitting before you even try, not an alpha trait.

Ugh. That just seems like you're expecting him to placate you. The situation you described was so obviously not about his lack of care for you. Seems like you're on a good path though!

Something along the lines of, sorry I made a big deal about the pizza, I was expecting you to respond the same way I would have responded and in doing that I was failing to treat you like your own person. I'm going to keep working on that and try to be aware of it. Then thank him for putting up with you. Lol

I agree with this... who wouldn't prefer flexible hours? Women just take lower paying jobs with flexible hours more because they prioritize it, while a lot of men don't have that luxary as they're expected to be the main breadwinner.

Eyewitness testimony has been proven to be unreliable. There is a lot that went wrong in this case, and a lot of people who should be legally held responsible. But I don't think that Penny Beerntsen is one of them. Remember, this was right after she was attacked, and the cops show her picture of Avery before asking her to pick him out of a line up. I think it's a little bit absurd when you consider the implications of punishing witnesses and victims of crimes. She was a psychologically very vuln…

I recently read that if that one in five statistic were actually true, it would mean that college students in America were raped at a higher rate than women in the Congo, a country where rape is a weapon of war.

I deleted my other comment because as much as I love this idea, I don't think I would have the guts to do it. Maybe, someday, when I don't live with them anymore. But I really love the suggestion. I'm a big fan of science myself. I'm pretty sure though that the science of evolutionary psychology is not yet strong enough to support the beliefs about morality that you seem to hold. Sorry you've been let down so much. Unfortunately there are a lot of people who choose not to do good. But there are plenty who do, men and women alike. I'm fortunate to have known some very moral men and women. Maybe you'll meet some, and you'll become open to the possibility of moral potential of people of both…

It's not really that I idolize TRP. I don't get on board with all of the ideology here. It's more just that my mom is a text book case TRP nightmare, so the theory and advice in this forum is especially relevant to our family. I think we just have different ideas of the role of parent and child. You think I'm overstepping my bounds by getting involved, but most people commenting ITT seem to think that I'm seeking advice about an issue worth addressing. Thanks for weighing in again though, you've…

Thanks for the tip. I'm working hard to improve my life. I certainly haven't denied anywhere that ending up having to move back in with my folks was my own fault. It seems important to a couple folks here that I address that, so I'll repeat: I made a career mistake and did not have enough money saved to stay afloat by myself afterwards, and my parents were kind enough to take me in. That was my own fault. I'm working to be better. I'm a big believer in owning one's own shit. I don't think that p…

Let's say for the sake of argument that you are right, and that by their very nature women are generally less inclined towards loyalty and trust than men. It still doesn't follow that women are not capable of morality. Seems to me that you are bending the definition of morality to only fit male traits. Empathy, a traditionally female trait, is also an aspect of morality. I think it is a perspective difference. You have a strongly held belief, and that's fine. I will continue to believe that all …

Are you serious? Nothing has changed throughout history in the social dynamics between women and men? We all know the story of Adam and Eve, but women have never been put on as high of a pedestal as they are now. Right now they are still clamoring about being oppressed, as their sexual power goes unchecked by generations of feminized men. Isn't that what the red pill is for? Having sexual power doesn't make someone incapable of morality. It's being allowed to run rampant with that power that bre…

Right on, sometimes I can be a bit moralizing and I realize you weren't asking for that. I think your plan is flawed though, disregarding whether it's right or wrong. It seems like oneitis is the issue here: Both my plates are sluts and/or have daddy issues, I cant seem to score a normal girl That makes it sound like your ultimate goal is to be in an LTR. Why? Thanks for your reply. I know all about shit tests, thanks for the little primer though it's helpful. I'm giving my dad the No More Mr Nice Guy book, do you happen to know if that one talks about shit tests? I would like to introduce my dad to the concept but I don't want to throw too much at him all at once, since I'm already getting him the book. Honestly think he's at rock bottom right now. Thanks, that's kind of you to say! I don't like having such negative views of my mom but there simply isn't any other way to look at it. Likewise I think your daughters are lucky to have a dad like you who knows what's up. When I was a kid my mom stayed home with us, and my dad worked a lot and everything he knew about me was pretty much filtered through her. Just having someone to believe you and advocate for you when you have a problem means so much as a kid with a manipulative mom.

I assume that the people weighing in on my post also care about my dad to a certain degree and want to help him as a fellow man. Pretty much everyone here but you seem to have that reaction. I realized it's awkward that this message is coming from his daughter. That is the entire reason why I came here for advice, to figure out how to best most sensitively address his needs without patronizing him. Dude, I just want to hand him a book that a whole bunch of people here said might be helpful. That's literally all I plan to do, besides inviting him on a camping trip. I realize you might have some anger towards women, and I'm compassionate towards what you might have gone through in your life--I know a lot of men use this sub to vent anger--but I really feel like you need to lighten up about this. You say your goal is that he can find another person to date? No. My goal is for my dad to be happy and treated better than he's treated now. Why not let them fight, then? Because the fights always end with him trying harder to please her and her changing exactly nothing about her horrid behavior. If your mom threatened divorce, isn't that what you want, OP? I would say TRP is about helping fellow men find their way again after getting fucked over in a society that favors women. Refusing to help a man just because he is married to my mom is some whole other doctrine you brought in here. Sounds like personal baggage of yours. I thought a lot about how to approach this sensitively so that I don't make him feel emasculated. If you read through my other comments you would see that. Of course they sound like excuses. You think I'm proud of moving back into my parents' house at 28? Am I on trial for that right now? I made this post because I'm concerned about my dad and I love him and I thought other men might be able to share perspectives and resources that could help him. Yeah. They've been through this exact same scenario so many times already. It's only the past two weeks that she actually started dropping the D word. They haven't been making any progress and are just going in circles. My dad bends more and more to her will and she acts more and more resentful of him. I'm pretty sure there is some law against moving assets to avoid having to share them due to divorce, but I could be wrong. It seems like if it were that easy, then all the men in this community who've gotten divorce raped would have just done that. I guess it probably varies state-by-state. I'm in California, for the record.

I never ask new men I'm dating to add me on Facebook, it just seems invasive. I would also never ask a new guy in my life about pictures with another girl. I think if you do add the girls on social media, and they ask you annoying questions, the best response is to just deflect with humor. It's a shit test and if you answer all her questions you lose, and if you get defensive you lose. If I were a guy, frankly I'd be turned off by a girl poking around my Facebook and asking questions about pictu…

That's an interesting idea, but actually, I read the first few pages of the book online, and they suggest the man to read it with his spouse. Haha I'm not sure what my mom would do if she was invited to read a book like this. I think it would trigger some very deep rage in her!

Well she teaches old people yoga from home so I don't see that as a sign. I have thought about it though, just because if she disrespects him this much to his face I've got to wonder what goes on in her head. I really don't have any reason to think so, though. I don't doubt that me being here contributes to their stress, but I really don't think it's the root issue behind her lack of respect and contol issues. I have a job, it just doesn't pay me livable wage with my expenses. I supported myself since I left at 18, and it was only after having a change of career crisis that I came back here so that I wouldn't have to run my credit cards up on groceries while I pivoted for my next move. My comfort zone is not the reason for my parents marriage problem. I'm very comfortable with conflict and would love to tell my mother exactly what I think of the situation, it just won't do any good and it would be going against my dad's wishes. I'm going to give him the book, I'm not going to meddle more than I have to, and I'm certainly not going to use shame tactics to get him to do what I want.

I might disagree with you. It seems a bit disrespectful to me and not my place. I'm not interested in trying to shame him into doing the right thing. I just want to see him get his manhood and freedom back. I'm just going to leave him with the book that people recommended, and give it some time. I'll try to post a follow up post here if anything big happens.

My mom is already trying to frame herself as a victim of a borderline abusive husband. It is sickening. They went to a marriage counselor together in the past and she was successfully able to control the entire frame and get the (female) counselor on her side. I thought maybe they just had a bad counselor, but you are probably right. Feminism is so insidious, it doesn't surprise me at all that they have a death grip on the counseling industry too. What a world.

I'm on the same page as you. But right now he's not on the path to divorce. He's letting her use the threat of it as a tool to manipulate him. Hopefully giving him the book will urge him either one way or the other. Anything but letting her continue to twist him by the balls. It's awful. No grandkids for my dad on the horizon yet, but believe me, I would be prepared to do anything in my power if she were to go after him. Luckily I think if it came down to that my siblings and I would be able to put enough pressure on her that she wouldn't take him through the wringer. She gets worse when she's cornered. Personally I agree with you, & I think she needs to be called out on her horrible behavior and attitude. But my dad doesn't appreciate when I get involved and get in fights with her about this.

I think I'm a little out of the ordinary, because of my upbringing. From a very young age I was distrustful of women because of my mom and her manipulation. I'm an egalitarian in the tradition of Camille Paglia and Christina Hoff Sommers, I highly recommend them if youre curious about a female perspective that is more red pill. Not all women are part of the feminist industrial complex, some of us do support men's rights. I'm happy to call myself an ally.

I didn't know that. When I made the suggestion I told him that he should make sure to get a male counselor. I didn't know marriage counselors far and wide had a reputation for siding with the woman. Is that just red pill common knowledge? I guess I was giving him the benefit of the doubt that they would hear his story, see the problem, and help him. She's openly disrespectful of him 75% of the time. I also took it as a good sign that he called the bluff. I read RPW and have internalized a lot of their advice. Mainly when I think I'm doing something for control, I reason myself out of it. I've always been very wary of turning into my mom the the point I'm usually too agreeable with men and lose my own happiness and desires sometimes. If you have any resources for women on how to overcome dysfunctional parents from a red pill perspective, I'd be grateful to read them.

She's a pretty young girl and naturally she's going to want to explore her options if shes a partying socialite type. Seems like she still wants to keep her independence, and do things with her friends without you that may or may not involve other men. Don't try to control her, but just decide what you want in a girlf…

Well, I think what is happening here is two people inexperienced with relationships are maybe in over their heads having it be so serious so soon. Her reacting to your not saying I love you is a bigger shit test than anything else you've posted here. She seems inexperienced and attached to the idea of an emotional connection without understanding how to first build trust. Sounds like you've kind of been sucked in by her emotional attachment and are mirroring her little bit it sounds like by gett…

That's true, I should have been more specific. What you need to focus on changing is not your actions, but your attitude. Don't worry so much about trying to keep her. If she's a good girl she'll be there waiting for you. If not, she wasn't a good girl for you. You sound like you have your priorities in order and are building a good life, so if it doesn't work out with her there'll be lots more girls that want to date you.

Sounds like she could have just meant Saturday day, since you guys didn't specify. I don't think she's trying to be evil here or anything, it just sounds like you're a lot more invested in the relationship than she is, and she's seeing it as more of a casual thing. Just deescalate it. Take advantage of the parties by getting to know lots of cool people, and making your own friends. Just treat her like a girl you like but are dating casually. That doesn't mean cheat on her necessarily, but scale …

This is desperate advice. You sound like a catch, just relax and enjoy your life, talk to her when it feels natural but not too much and see her when you see her.

I'd say just quietly revoke girlfriend privileges and carry on with your life as if you're single. Enjoy fucking her if she still wants to. Confronting her would make you seem needy and desperate.

When had you made the plans to spend Saturday together? Were they specific, hard plans? The way you're reacting to her is way too much. Your mistake was getting in a relationship with her too soon, and you're clearly emotionally attached to her and insecure about the relationship. It's very likely that she's in an experimental phase (some would call it a slut phase), and is not long-term relationship material. It seems like you should slow down, focus on your life and your future. She should be …

Why is it necessarily a shit test? Unless I'm reading that wrong, you didn't have plans with her, right? If you've only been going out a month, this is way too much. If she's a pretty, popular girl, she's going to be making plans and doing social things. Do you have a reason not to trust her? Is the issue that she didn't invite you to go? Honestly the vibe I'm getting here is that she is more popular than you and you are jealous. You let it get way too serious too soon. Why is she a gf and not p…

I appreciate this comment a lot! I agree I like cheekiness and Im not one to get offended easily but I think Im just being paranoid because of the long distance thing, which a lot of people have pointed out is the bigger issue.

I'd relocate for the right person. But it's so true this situation is far from ideal and probably borderline foolish on my end.

Oh, we both drive but I meant the distance is not drivable. You're right about the long distance thing being possibly the bigger issue. It's rare I click with someone this well and he's giving me lots of attention so I let myself get a bit swept up.

First of all congrats on your progress! I'm into fitness too, and a natural barely-A cup with big hips. I never hated them or anything but I made the decision to get implants this year to make them a full C. It's crazy how much more feminine I feel finally having noticeable breasts. I've gotten more into fashion and makeup and trying on clothes is fun now. I wish I'd done it years ago. It's a big decision and not for everyone but I just wanted to share my experience in case you're considering su…

I think I understand. I know when I complain, what I'm usually looking for is validation, but that doesn't mean you have to just agree with everything he says. I don't think that's necessarily the only rpw solution. Have you tried just listening and saying nothing unless asked? You could turn that time into an opportunity to meditate a bit on your feelings and observe what's coming up for you and why, and let yourself relax about trying to find solutions. Even if he's not interested in that, it …

I meant 'help' in a more abstract sense. Not in the sense that she needs to solve his problem, but she needs to solve the problem of how she frames and responds to his words. It's possible the only thing he needs from her is a listening ear. But there may be more to it that she isn't seeing now because she's too "sucked in" emotionally.

I agree. This takes it a step up from just appreciating him. Challenge yourself to be on your A-game on the trip. It will help create an experience that is more meaningful than your giving money.

I think the real issue here is that your emotions are being affected by this. I think that's something you can control, with practice and mindfulness. Your husband has a problem and he's looking to you to try to help him solve it. It sounds like he needs something from you. It's your job to figure out what that is. Just keep trying different perspectives, and being supportive. It sounds like you're doing your best. When he's complaining like that in front of your child, maybe you could find a ki…

Sounds like obvious jealousy to me, to feel the need to criticize such a wonderful thing. I'm sure her imaginary boyfriend would have written just the right message on his handmade vanity for her LOL Also about the feet. To be honest I find it a bit rude when anyone takes up two seats on a crowded train, but a) I would never let it bother me and b) you can SEE an empty seat in the background hahah Some people just want to be angry I guess.

That's pretty different. She could have been at a Walmart or Target. Some things make people physically ill (mine is teeth... anyone telling a brutal or gross teeth story and I'll get dizzy), and for a lot of people, that is feet. Cashiers aren't trained to deal with people's personal medical issues.

I really advise against contacting management. Her actions were rude, but do you really want to be THAT snooty customer who complains? Mountain, molehill. It sounds like you just disgusted her talking about dead skin on feet to the point that she might have actually felt sick. Wondering how much you were paying attention to conversational cues whilst giving your "full story". Why was it necessary to go so in depth into that?

This was my favorite part: Her description of the guy she cheated with: "He is charming, intelligent, funny, and really, really hot (like, I-don’t-comprehend-what-you-say-when-you-talk-to-me-because-I’m-hardcore-staring hot)." and then later: "I could not picture myself dating or becoming seriously involved with my classmate (someone who I admire and have an attraction towards) —a clear sign to me that I will not see myself with anyone other than Justin." Clearly she fucked someone out of her le…

Good on you for getting out there! Sidenote: I always used to force myself to run and never felt like it helped enough with "skinnyfat". I started lifting four months ago and I'm for the first time in my life seeing noticable changes in my body, and I find it more fun. If you don't yet know about it, I highly recommend r/xxfitness, those ladies know what's up. Good luck!

I just don't think men and women having different primary roles says anything about their capacity for morality. You haven't made a convincing case to me at all. I think the modern phenomenon of women being out of control and treating their husbands and boyfriends badly is more a societal issue. I don't think women used to be like this throughout history. Back in the old days they'd get slapped and put in their place and that would be the end of it, but likely they probably never would have been…
/r/askTRP

I see it differently, but thanks for explaining.
/r/askTRP

Morality is a luxury, the fewer resources you have the lower the level or morality you will maintain. Do you have a source on this or can you give me an example or explain the reasoning behind it? I've never heard this hypothesis before and it doesn't strike me as particularly compelling. I mean, I get that somebody poor might be more likely to steal than somebody who has everything they need, is that what you're talking about? That would almost seem like you're making the argument that woman ha…
/r/askTRP

Honest question, is it common knowledge here that women are not capable of the same moral character as men? The question of their capabilities seems quite different from the assertion that many women take advantage of men because society give them free passes. The latter I can get behind, the former, not so much.
/r/askTRP

Why do you think you need a short cut? You already banging multiple checks and one of them is hot and gives you great sex. What do you need a shortcut for? If girls get the sense that you are slimy, your approach will backfire. I mean are you planning on hooking up with other girls while you're with this girl, or were you thinking you would just break up with her and then your SMV would be up? Seems half baked and is just not really making sense to me. You're the gatekeeper of the relationship. …
/r/askTRP

Youre considering getting an into an LTR without proper trust just to make yourself more attractive to other girls? It seems despetate and underhanded to me, and if a woman was doing something equally sneaky to a man she was entering into an LTR with, everyone here would be denouncing her. "Sexual strategy is amoral"-- sounds like an excuse to me. Why are you so willing to compromise your principles to get laid? Entering into a relationship with someone just to use them is wrong whether you are …
/r/askTRP

Does that not jump out to you as a fucked up reason to get into a long term relationship? Increasing your SMV through social manipulation is not alpha behavior. Rise above that petty shit. If you take part in that you're no better then all the women that men in the red pill denounce as shallow manipulators.

Isn't this technically illegal? I feel like I saw something warning against this in r/legaladvice.

Done! Thanks.

It's pretty horrible to see played out right in front of me though, watching him bending over backwards to please her and not knowing why his efforts backfire and she keeps treating him worse. I can't just sit back and let him hurt. I'm giving him the Mr Nice Guy book.
