It really does depend on the case. There is a difference sure, but my point was that women do get sentenced too. The time they get might not be the same, but they do serve time. The way the court handles these things in America is fucked up sure, but that's why i said depending on the country. I recommend doing that. Sure, not all sources are trust-worthy and third party sources even less. If you can find a database with court decisions on cases like these, it might be the best source for research. These should be available for everyone depending on country/state.

There have been multiple cases recently where female teachers sexually abuse an underage student. They get jail time the same as men. I don't know what sources you read or which country you are from, but the laws are the same. The definition of rape as a term had something to do with forced penetration, but i think it has been changed by now.
