It's a numbers game. If you approach 5 you might get rejected all 5 times, approach 10 you might get one or two. Approach 20 you're guaranteed at least one and so on

Ya, maybe he felt too much pressure. Happens when you wander in unfamiliar territory when you like someone. Another advice I could give you is to make use of punctuation

I don't know what people in this community think, but I personally prefer long term partners, not necessarily exclusive, but it's way better. They know what you like, vice versa. Much more enjoyable. Go for the numbers of you're trying to prove something
