Whilst I appreciate the post, you've not linked it to mens rights at all. This is just mens health, which is an indirect relation at most. That said I don't want to be critical. Just think that you should highlight how there is an infringement of male equality.

What interests me is that as soon as you move out of the scope of parents, the majority of abuse is from male partners of the mother or a different male relative. The childcare worker category is ambiguous as to gender.

I sympathise with op. Both of the subs are heavily biased. But I do find /r/mensrights to be far more accepting and at least willing to consider other points. That said these regular infographs about ironic male privilege are starting to piss me off for their ridiculously one sided view.

I'm not saying it should be dominated by gender to the extent that it focuses only on one. I'm just saying issues should be treated proportionally. You can argue that society is obsessed with a specific narrative. But that narrative is aimed t decreasing crime. Again the main issue is that it's gender specific when it shouldn't be.

Ah yes, this argument. Women have it worse so men can just shut up until I tell them they're allowed to have thought sand feelings. I don't think that's what I said... I said attention should be proportionate and that it isn't proportionate at the moment. I do believe that it is skewed unfairly in womens favour. As for the stats it may be possible that I've been mislead to believe women have it worse. Although I'll need more than one reference to be sure. Until then I'll stay without an opinion.

At the moment I am completely unawares of any feminist based academic influence on the teaching profession (I'm from the UK and am assuming you're from the USA so it might be different between the countries but lets ignore that for now). In my experience a lot of parents should also ask themselves "is this behaviour actually a problem or am I making an issue out of nothing". Boys are agressive, that's natural behaviour. They need to be taught the rules of play e.g. don't hurt others. But they also need to be allowed to playfight and get angry etc.

Not sure if this is right here but I couldn't think of any better places apart from /r/rage. My wife joined a while ago and decided to show me the forum as she was pretty shocked at some of the content. From a quick run through it feels like a circlejerk over how difficult boys are (they're not like girls) and some ways of 'dealing' with them. Is there a problem today in the way boys are raised? Can people relate to them at all?

I'm a fan but even I take issue with some submissions. A lot of the top submissions can be heavily biased. Especially all these recent infographs about 'male privilege', which inevitably end up portraying all the stats about how downbeat and underprivileged men are. They all completely ignore the women's side and assume that they've all got it good compared to men which is BS. Both sexes have issues, most of which aren't related.
