I don’t think it’s toxic but I do think it’s a weak move if done consciously.

This to me seems like a bunch of sentences a lot of gurus and not so qualified people on the internet repeat over and over. Do you educate yourself from youtube/ instagram shorts or TikTok by any chance? Me, just as all my friends and any living women I have met view people as people. Every man has good and bad traits and would go as far as every trait can be good for a certain woman and bad for the other because of differences in values and compatibility between people. The ones who scream, com…

You tagged this as a debate but are you actually open to change your opinion or just want to hear things that validate your bias?

I love the switch from Reddit not being the place to meet average takes from women but TikTok and Instagram is… c’mon. Go to a grocery store and ask 10 average men what were their experiences after opening up to a woman. That’s your IRL answer. Media will only let you see what you want to see because it either evokes emotions of superiority or anger to keep you engaged.

To add to the warning signs question: does he lie in small, seemingly insignificant things? does he blame you constantly instead of taking responsibility for his part? was he ever violent before or showed signs of uncontrolled aggression towards anybody? is he unpredictable? is he “the bad boy”? how and where does his ego come out? how does he handle his insecurities? what kind of baggage is he carrying from childhood? does he suffer from any addiction? what does his friends and wider social cir…

You don’t have to if you don’t want to cold approach. I personally never minded getting approached in public, if anything I would think that the man is braver and more masculine than average if he came up to me. It is sad that some men feel humiliated by just going up to a woman, expressing interest and in return getting mean comments.

There is a joint account which we contribute 50/50 to each month. All the bills, groceries, date night expenses go from here. We both separately have other accounts for different purposes and buy personal items or food for only ourselves from one of our own accounts. Having only one joint account is more common for stay at home moms or where one party doesn’t make as much but need to spend on kids.

What’s unattractive here is that it seems like he has no ambition. I could live with a failing poet or artist who is striving to make an impact in a way but not with someone who has no direction but won the lottery.

I don’t know about others but I never dated a guy who I was attracted to at first sight, nor a guy who had even a higher income compared to me when we started dating. I only saw competence, intelligence, loyalty which to be fair are quite good predictors of future income, influence but also general fulfilment in relationships. The men I rejected were rich, handsome but didn’t have the reliability, loyalty that I was looking for in a partner. The men that were lingering in the distant friend zone…

Usually women as the weaker gender, we walk through life with more fear and a lower risk tolerance. So even small things like poor social skills displayed by a man can make a woman feel scared of “what is there to come”. Often she realizes that the probability of her getting scammed/hurt or else is low so logically there’s nothing to be afraid of, he is not a serial killer (most likely) but this duality of what is probable and logical vs what feels scary to the person can lead to be labelled as …

If I’m buying anything for someone, it doesn’t really matter what everyone else thinks it only matters what they think. Assuming you are a man looking for a ring for your woman: Is she used to a fancy lifestyle? Is she appreciative of even the little things? Does she have an exact dream about how she wants to get married? - if so she likely has an idea about this question as well. Does she appreciate presents with a fun twist, a present she is emotionally connected to or with a very fancy design…

A is unappealing. B is even attractive by having standards. I also find prostitution disgusting but wouldn’t know the kind of abuse or problems they are coming from and dealing with so I do have some empathy towards them.

I’ll go one by one, based on my own experiences. “For rich women only since you have more options in life.” If you mean dating, I’m not sure that’s true. No one knows I’m well off at first, and I prefer it that way. Personal dating preferences: I look for three main traits in men: • Intelligence. Ability to recognize patterns and solve problems efficiently. • Self-reflection. Taking responsibility and learning from past decisions. • Self-control. Staying calm under pressure, making logical choic…
