If a man sits down next to you on the bus or train, and he's too close and he starts touching you, what do you do? - Aka how Dr Gail Dines finally put into words what I've been feeling. The Kitty Genovese story was a news article that sensationalized what happened. 2 men, one who was her “friend”, saw what happened clearly and failed to call police right away delaying help. One dude decided to take a nap, who cares. The friend called neighbors like an idiot wasting precious time and is the one who said he didn’t want to get involved. Another random witness did call police, but he didn’t really see what was going on and gave a lousy account, so police didn’t hurry. You know who … | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 11/06/21 06:56 PM
I feel conflicted about the advice my therapist gave meI’m a counselor who specializes in domestic violence. Counselors are just not trained in this unless they very specifically specialize. Classes are elective at best and at worst nonexistent. I’m not surprised at all. So generally you’d have to seek out internships or go get extra training in the area. | 1 | Any advice on planting FDS seeds in my pickmeisha niece?Could you share anecdotal stories about men you’ve dated? Try to make them a bit light-hearted and funny. Kind of a “oh man, can’t believe I put up with that nonsense” approach. That might get her to open up with some problems she’s experienced since she won’t feel you’re judging her, but can relate. Share stories of all the stuff you’ve done independently like career or travel, things you couldn’t do held down by a scrote. Ask her what her hopes and dreams are and help her find concrete ways to… | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 03/05/21 04:23 PM
All the men in the replies saying that it's unfair, getting immediately shut down 💅It’s that men don’t lose their word, but women aren’t allowed to use theirs anymore. It’s men and “other”. It’s misogynistic. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 25/04/21 02:13 PM
“The difference between a lady and a flower girl is not how she behaves, but how she’s treated.” George Bernard Shaw (Pygmalion / My Fair Lady)Look up Florence Farr, they were partners for a long time and Shaw treated her pretty poorly. Farr was a badass and a huge influence on his work regardless. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 16/04/21 03:51 AM
We need to teach our children about the dangers of hookup cultureIf you are able to afford it, go to an EMDR trained counselor. Really any counseling approach that works to get trauma out of the body is incredibly useful (TRE and brain spotting work too). | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 23/10/20 08:58 PM
