what will we do about the incel probelm, it is a real danger. just other day an incel tried to shoot up a building.

this is mostly correct. though some women tend to get fat around gut area and this looks horrible, whereas the ones that get thicker ass and thighs look thicc and good

I'd say the issue for men is height, for women weight.

Hook up culture is massively exaggerated. Pretty sure there are even studies that have debunked its supposed prevalence. You would be suprised how boring nightclubs can be outside of their pop cultural memes. they are loud, dark and most girls go there to dance with their friends and are annoyed by men.* *but everyone else tells me this only happens to incels, Chads get to fuck...

Firefly's theme song was awful and probably had a lot to do with it being cancelled, aslo, how is there such a cult following for a show with only 1 season??

most men are losers, as you may have noticed by now lol. the idea of gaining bunch qualifications and degrees to secure a comfortable family life for men is relatively new in terms of historical context. honestly, men have failed to keep up, this is a dead horse topic by now but, ya https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2010/07/the-end-of-men/308135/ the seminal article that sort of started it all in the zeitgeist.

I think the topic has been covered on here regarding the growing number of young people who don't have regular sex. And When it isn't framed in terms of sex, there are plenty more articles about how people are "lonely" and disconnected. I think older people (~40+) really don't realize how different things are for teenagers and 20 somethings now. no disrespect to anyone older (i am getting there..) but this idea of "the kids will be alright it's always like this with the losers" or whatever glib …

we live in bubbles tho. most people i know/knew are/were autistic loser types, so I naturally assume most people are like that.

funny how your locale contributes to your views, as someone living among huge immigrant region of latino immigrants I don't see this at all, in fact they represent all the "long lost" values that people say don't exist anymore like men having familes and women not minding having 2-3 kids and taking care of home. my guess is for whatever reasons you notice those highly educated asian/indina engineers types that do conform to the stereotype.

not to be rude, but aren't a bit older than most mid 20s people? you may be a bit out of touch here.

uh isn't this why most people get into ltrs? outside of reddit meme bubbles and hollywood films, neither men nor women are constant sluts. most people pair up for sex and companionship

Immigrants fix that problem. just look around any major city. In the US, it's mostly Central americans and Asians having kids and working and doing all the things older white people did in the 50s its a reason why globalists and neo-liberals like immigration and why the political climate is tense since native people are starting to see through the con.

It doesn't have to bet that extreme. Think of all the murders in Chicago, done by young males most likely not gainfully employed trying to maintain a family and pay mortgage. Men without a 'purpose' has always been dangerous. https://www.economist.com/special-report/2016/01/21/of-men-and-mayhem

I think it just shows how much scarcer the pool of "eligible" men there really are. Even the ones who "at least aren't unemployed druggies" are still not cutting it. Women really have slim pickings it's fascinating how this is all playing out.

to be fair, if you are a young pretty woman, you can potentially play your cards right to "marry up" much easier than a poor ugly guy of becoming a prince.

it's a deliberate move to snub the mores of society and in my view within both groups there exist a good non-trivial amount who are maladjusted psychologically and or emotionally.

I've come across a few, they are mostly women. they have decent job, are going to inherit parents home, so decent income if you account theypay no rent, but they can't seem to find good enough guy. they are hitting mid 30s age and i am not sure how they feel but i assume they go through mixed feelings like anyone would about not being married and not having kids.

It's a serious part of life that poets and songwriters and everybody have been wrestling with so it is being wrestled with, but since someone isn't doing it in some corny "romantic" way it's invalid. k

I am not even sure this is true, the only thing that seems to hold true is that women value height above most everything else. if you are shorter than the woman, it's very unlikely you will be "attractive" to her. all other things seem to be all over the place in terms of sex appeal, i see skinny tall lanky dudes do fine and tall fat dudes and tall black dudes do fine and tall "ethnic" dudes do fine. short guys.. not so much.

not obviously white or black or hispanic is my guess.

in general it's for talking about "taboo" topics about social mores on related to sex and romantic relationships. but like all things on the internet, it can range in quality of topics and may just seem like random bullshit

this question sort of shows why this sub eve exists people so clueless as to how "things work" now have to resort to internet to ask questions like "why don't women like me"
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/19 07:40 PM

i see, but i think with todays younger crowd and dating apps where it's literally based on how you look on the screen, it makes sense more people would talk about lookism.

If you have more than two kids, people look at you weird. only in small enclave of middle class white people everyone else seems to have bunch of kids

need both to an extent. just saying the idea of "fixing" this crisis is silly. there is no fixing. it is actually what we intend on primal level. let the poor ugly weak go without and die off.

low status men can't be helped, that is the role they play and have played for eons, the issue is we now have gone through an very abnormal few hundred years of less war and disease to cull them out.

it is an interesting phenomena that is being studied, just in different terms to avoid backlash, and because sometimes other disciplines provide better insight. "the decline of men" topic (trope at this point perhaps) has been talked about in terms of changing economic conditions and newer models ("service economy") and how these benefit traditionally "femimine" attributes. in simple terms, i think what we are witnessing is: women in western society no longer need or require an husband for suste…

immigrants always make up for all the voids. when we say "men are dropping out" we mean: native born US males born and raised in america under quasi-American values. the Guatemalens and Mexicans are having families and babies and buying homes like crazy.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/18 12:24 AM

Women no longer care for or need a "provider" husband and are now basing their mating choices just like men have for since forever: out of looks/sex appeal. so many men are simply left out of the equation of sex and marriage, so they literally just play video games and smoke weed/alcohol their life away. It's just we are in the middle of witnessing a shift we as humans have not experience at grand scale ever in history. incels gonna incel, sluts (male and female) slut it up.

i think i read somewhere during similar reddit height threak that black men are actually statistically shorter than white men.. i find it hard to believe as well due to the way we see most black men in media as tall athletes

1 in 4 men are incels. I notice this and you do to if you care to look. I've always said it's mostly men who want a relationship/marriage as it assures them of steady safe relatively inexpensive sex.

The perfect storm of tongue in cheek jokes on tv/movies, mixed with actual evidence of men "dropping out of life" via job statistics, mixed with data showing more women are enrolling in higher education and even gradually out earning men in some demographics

ya it's an older topic by now if you have been aware of it. Lots of it started around 2009-2010, and some say this article was seminal (heh pun intended) https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2010/07/the-end-of-men/308135/ it's still a good read and is i think a must read for anyone like OP who has an interest in similar question raised.

eh, i hear this often, and while true to a point, lots of women are getting nursing degrees or government jobs with steady pay and benefits, while men tinker on their motorbikes and pretend to be mechanics. honestly, OP question is one that is interesting and has been discussed about a lot in the last decade. many reasons are at play.

Women tend to have better support groups and seem to enjoy being cheered on. I notice this as lots of my female friends who got post-baccalaureate degrees. it was like everyone was rooting for them and they liked it and fed off it...Men wan't to participate in that "i'll do it my own way" and usually results in my lonely way that perhaps isn't enough for some, so these men drop out of life, so to speak.

dating apps and online dating combined with "sex positive" culture is just making sure 'betas' know their place. The market always corrects itself, for a while women who were under the burden of sexism and religiosity, had to settle for their husband to lead a life not of penury. not so now.
