I think it’s hard to just distill down to saying “it’s just a name”. In our situation, I wanted to be in my child’s life from the moment of birth, but unfortunately in the real world when two parents don’t see eye to eye, one parent will inevitably be given a lesser role and impact in that child’s life as a non-custodial parent. It’s unfortunate but that’s just the reality of the situation. I feel that having the last name of the other parent (even hyphenated) is symbolic of carrying a piece of …

I actually went to my state’s Supreme Court about this. I was on the birth certificate and dating my child’s mother when our child was born. Obviously I wanted my child to have my last name. I was in the hospital with her when I watched her not give our child my last name - that was when our relationship ended. We went to court and I argued it was in my child’s best interest. We had case after case and reasoning after reasoning to support this. My child’s mother didn’t deny that it would be in h…

Ok I’m convinced this woman has a mental disease.

It wasn't a poor decision - this is the most publicity she has had in the last decade. No one cares about her. She did something edgy to attempt to be relevant again, but her mistake was that she has never been relevant in the first place.

When we were teens, my ex's parents appealed a name change ruling and it went to the freaking Supreme Court of [State] and now we're cited in case law. I lost by the way, because they ruled mom has all of the right to do whatever she wants with the child.

Not exaggerating - after going through years of family court at the age of 20 just to be able to see my daughter, this kinda chokes me up. You've never felt so helpless in your life as when your contact with your own child is dictated by someone else, and highly dependent on your ability to pay an attorney an insane amount of money.

I'm curious what happened beforehand to make her react that way.

That hurts my heart watching that little girl walk over to move like that. I can't imagine how scared she probably is to be alone in a situation like that. I hope that lady gets her shit together.

I'm pretty sure you have to have hit a woman at some point in your life to be a part of Mayweather's entourage.

Yes if any new items become available in Google's search directory for the criteria that you post, it will send you an email letting you know.

I'd like to add to set a Google alert to your own name as well as your child's. When I set one to my daughter's name, I got an alert that lead me to this site called CafeMom. It's a complete shit fest where the women talk shit the guy. It seems she used this site anonymously to vent when we would have disagreements or situations would arise. It was fucking great because on the site she would say that I had said or told her something, and I would also have the email conversation she was referenci…

This is what's killing me right now. My ex is openly sleeping with a new man that she's dated for 5 weeks. Previously she slept with our daughter every night so it's a big and noticeable change for my daughter. She facetimed me a couple of weeks ago at 8 am in her dark bedroom. When I asked her why she hadn't gotten up, she said, "Mom and Danny said they want to sleep in this morning. But I can hear them up". She's 6 and I don't want her thinking that it's an acceptable thing to sleep with someo…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
