In the United states a bill was put into place in 1999 to make it illegal to cut the genitals of a woman under the age of 18 for non medical reasons, (this bill includes something as mundane as poking a girl’s labia majora with a needle)where as it is a right for parents to chose to cut the genitals of a male is considered a religious right, even though the same argument was made for females and it was deemed that the right of bodily autonomy for a women outweighed a parent’s religious right to …

Ear piercings are any age are also 100% reversible... circumcision is 100% not.

Specifically infant circumcision. And I’m not saying you shouldn’t be. I’m just saying it should be the person who’s penis is being cut’s choice. There’s nothing wrong with the procedure being done. The issue is that it is the only elective surgical procedure done that the patient does not consent. This post was meant to highlight the hypocrisy of protecting girls under the guise of bodily autonomy, but not young boys.

I completely agree. It’s sad how women have the right to bodily autonomy, but men do not. If a man expressed his feelings of resentment and how it’s has made him feel he is also brushed off. People in the US just say “oh well everyone else is” and somehow that makes it okay
