100% agree. As bad as people think it is now, it's actually the best version of life that the world has ever known. Things are spoken about much more now. Plus the internet/smart phones have helped expose things that were previously hidden. It's def not porn's fault.

Right?!? Like being close with your parents should not be considered childish. Esp when paired with choosing to stay single. It shouldn't automatically be assumed that you're being coddled or you're weird/childish or whatever bullshit. I absolutely DO understand that not everyone has a strong relationship with their parents for various reasons but I, personally, do not feel bad about wanting to spend maximum quality time with my parents whom I genuinely like before they die.

I'm confirming/affirming/feeling this so hard internally but can't think of what to say in this comment but yup yup yup, not surprised to read this. Seen it myself in various ways as well. Ugh.

THIS. Like they wonder why we don't want sex. It's never been for us, about us, with us. It's for them, about them, something they do to us.

This ZVM I went on a few dates with tried sooo hard to be the victim and trash-talk his ex-wife but I kept seeing it from her side and kept responding to whatever he said with compassion and empathy for her/humans in general. He told me he wasn't feeling it with me bc, and I quote, I was too calm and he was used to drama. Lol, could not be more thankful he wasn't into me🙌🙌🙌

It's empowering only in pure theory. In practice, it's the opposite.

So fucking sick of men putting their hands around my neck the first time we kiss, not even anything beyond kissing but their full fucking weight on my throat, squeezing my neck as if that's nbd. I need gentleness. Vanilla all the way.

I've got a female friend who consistently calls me a prude as well. It's so ridiculous. And tons of dudes who call me asexual but they're less bothersome than my female friend doing it to me.

The last dude who told me he was a nice guy, I legit thought he was joking bc I didn't realize men were still claiming the nice guy schtick when we've known the truth for, at least, a decade so I laughed and said, "says every guy who is most definitely not a nice guy" .... he looked at me like a hurt lil puppy as if this was the first time he was hearing of this concept. I then played into his ego and was, like, "ohhhh but definitely not you, you're clearly actually a nice guy" but he had alread…

I've always been open to dating any physical type but less conventionally attractive men are, by absolutely no means, nicer than conventionally attractive men. That's ridiculous. It does make you wonder about the bpld seemingly inherent entitlement of the less conventionally attractive man to think that he can have the personality of the inside of a garbage truck AND also look like it too but alas such are men

It is understandable how women became like this. You're basically describing a period of hypersexuality that often follows rape/sexual assault/abuse as a way to reclaim power. It both does and doesn't make sense but it is pretty common. Makes sense that after centuries of abuse, women are trying to reclaim their power by being hypersexual. And it seems like FDS is the next extension of that which is to swing the pendulum back the other way which sounds negative but it's actually swinging it back…

This was the original definition of dad bod. It's morphed into to men with no kids who don't take care of themselves. Your husband sounds great. The other type of dad bod not so much.

This has always been my struggle with dating. Even if there's nothing glaringly wrong or awful with the male person I'm interacting with, I'm almost always thinking, but are they actually adding anything of worth to my life or is this just a drain of my time and energy?

Yes, I wish so very badly that this was spoken about more openly. This describes 70-80% of my sexual experiences.

Yes! Same. I have lived a fairly privileged life and still have had mostly negative experiences with men that I've attempted to interact with on a deeper level. And I actually feel very lucky that my experiences with men haven't be worse. And mainly my "luck" is directly related to my privilege bc I always had the option to walk away which is, obvs, not a privilege all women have. The world does not value women. I wish, as a world/society, we could start talking more about the middle level/more …

I was working at a coffee shop and I transferred to a new store(cuz it was closer to my house) after having been at a different store for 2-3 years with no complaints, all good reviews, etc etc etc and one day, after working at my new store for over a year, one of my shift managers was like, when you first got hired, I assumed you would be really bad at your job bc, you know and I was like, uh what, why? And he was like, bc pretty ppl are always bad at their jobs. I just laughed it off bc I'm aw…

Omg, I've been mistaken for a prostitute before as well! I was putting groceries in my car. I'm glad I'm not alone(eventhough it would be better if it hadn't happened at all to either of us)💕

Same except I'd say an even higher percentage. Maybe 70 or 80%. I have been raped by a stranger and a person I was dating and was trapped and forced to give a guy who I thought was my friend a blowjob and yet, in many ways, the stuff that almost messes with me more is this type of shit. The guys(often guys I was legit dating) who would badger me endlessly and wear me down and chip away at me til I'd finally be like, fine whatever, stick your dick in me. And it's like, yes I consented but why wou…

Yeah 100% nothing wrong with having autism but this dude's only reason for saying it was cuz I wasn't performing according to the scripts that existed in his head so I just think it's so funny/ridic that that was the most logical answer to him, that I must have autism and not anything to do with him. Not being sexually attracted to your partner is hard bc it makes you feel like there's something wrong with you OR worse(maybe) that you are shallow but I feel like if everything else was solid in t…

Soooo many men I've dated have tried to diagnose me as asexual, gay, emotionally closed off, autistic ... and being an introspective person, I've done the inner work to investigate each and every one of these possibilities eventhough deep down I knew the truth which was that the men I dated were repulsive to me but obvs their overinflated egos would never let them entertain that as a possibility😅🤦🏼‍♀️🤮

Yes! Like words that come out of the mouths of men mean nothing. Show me actions or fuck off. And yeah 100% if they're only making changes to appease the women so they don't lose their living breathing sex doll, nah bro, I'm good.

Briefly dated a nvm who knew alllllllllll about attachment theory, was oBsEsSeD with Meyers Briggs, Enneagram AND astrology(he made me look up and give him my full birth chart and he ran our compatibility and oF cOuRsE, he had nEvEr seen such high compatibility before like yeah ok, sure, bro). Like such easy zero effort ways to make it seem like you're legit emotionally intelligent when it's really just a paper thinly veiled tactic to figure out how to manipulate you. Yes, this was Iceland but even here(I live in Iceland), women were still paid around 25% less. There was a law made in 2018 that requires all companies of 25 ppl or more with one year or longer contracts to pay men and women equally tho so that's promising. That law went into effect in 2020.

Yeah 100%... it's like now that men see that women have no real neeeed for them anymore, instead of rising to meet us at our new level, are doing that thing they do when you reject them like, well, whatever, fuck you, we never really liked you anyway. And obvs it just reinforces our lack of need for them.

Omg yessss, these types of people are my biggest peeves in the world and they are like 10:1 men, obvs. I've not heard someone else use this term tho. Such a perfect word for it. On top of pseudo-intellectual, I sometimes use fake or faux sophistication as a descriptor as well. Describes a slightly different aspect of the concept but same idea. Ugh get out your own ass and join a circle jerk like they all wish they could🤦🏼‍♀️🤮
