What the other guy said is spot on. The OP made a generalization and you’re just agreeing with one generalization and then ridiculing me for doing it. You can call me wrong all you want, but there’s no proof of what OP is saying other than some toxic, bitter, wounded anecdotal bullshit evidence that is a toxic rabbit hole of MGTOW thinking.

Not buying it. We’re all capable of equally horrible and great things as human beings, not as only men or women. You’re (quite understandably) wounded and bitter, and as a result seeing the world through one very broken lense.

You get your ass in counseling yesterday.

Some do. Some don’t. My ex is struggling and it’s been two years since she asked for a divorce; she’s never once made any mention about “I made a mistake” and I’m glad for it.

Only you can answer that. Are you really healed? Are you really over it? If you saw her at the grocery store making out with some dude, would you care?

Say little trash talk about your ex. I’m sorry but every divorce has some amount of dual responsibility and if we talked to your ex she’d probably just as easily say the same old “he’s a narcissist and a liar and didn’t care about how I felt” or some shit. A date that blames and talks overly poorly about their ex is, for me, a red flag.

We’re all well aware there’s exceptions to every rule.

Agreed. The mother of my three children has their same last name post-divorce and I am 100% okay with it.

It is. This guy is just fucking nuts based off his post history here.

I’m going to remarry, but not legally. I don’t need a piece of paper to make a marriage legitimate. A ceremony with vows, rings, friends and family is all that matters.

Personally I’d say like six months.

A wise man once told me, "Couples reconcile in spite of separation, not because of it; space creates more space."

For real. I fought tooth and nail to work on it even after she cheated, but she wasn’t interested. People said I was crazy but I knew being together would be better than seeing my kids Thursdays and Fridays and every other weekend.

Same. And I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it. Why do I need the state to validate my next marriage? What matters is the vows in front of family, the rings, and the celebration in front of people you love (and God if that’s your thing).

I talked to an attorney before doing a simplified dissolution in Florida also. He assured me it’s next to impossible for them to contest anything after it’s signed and to even begin to try it would cost upwards of $8-10k.

It’s not fishy. I did it in Florida, too. It’s just a way for people who can agree 100% to divorce quickly and easily and for little more than the filing fee. If you don’t agree, then you don’t do it. It’s entirely predicated on two spouses agreeing.

How do you get this many upvotes for just rephrasing what the OP's image said?
