I don’t even think we’re allowed to post photos of ourselves here.

You sound similar to me. I haven’t gotten my hormones checked, but due to my very severe inverted triangle body shape (very broad shoulders with extremely narrow hips and no ass), a wider/masculine face, thicker body hair, and because of my personality, I suspect I have higher more androgens than the average female. That being said, I don’t think I have PCOS. I can’t tell how much is genes I can never influence and how much is hormones though. I have BDD as well mainly because of this. It’s led …

I asked him about his family values the first time we met. I wanted to make sure he was traditional-minded. After that, I didn’t bring it up again. He brought up the abstract idea of marriage about a month in? (Not with me but just the concept of marriage). I didn’t bring it up first after that..and then a month or two after that, he started telling me that he wanted to marry me one day. (We’re both 20/21, so actually getting married is very far off, especially because he’s going to be in school…

How long has it been since you changed? How long is recent? I deleted my social media before I met my current SO, but it took about a year for him to change. I didn't nag him though. He just followed my example. I would sit quietly like you did. If he's not stupid, he'll be able to tell after some time. You can't expect him to change if you were literally doing the same thing just a couple weeks ago though..

This is the one pitfall I see with abstinence - people claiming to be abstinent but then just rushing into marriage after a year of dating, still in your early 20's, so that they can have sex. This essentially kills most of the benefits of abstinence anyway; you're saving yourself for a worthy man, but then giving it up to a man you don't know is worthy or not anyway, just to say you waited until marriage to have sex. You have a good head on your shoulders. You're doing everything theoretically …

I think the swinging is more so because I'm operating under both assumptions currently, but now I realize it's impossible to live with both, so I need to let go of one. But you're right. 1.5 years, while meant to be a rough timeline, is the fast-track. I guess I should also mention that I was almost literally on the verge of taking my own life when I met my ex, so I think you're right in that I need to sort out other things before I can foster a RP (or any) relationship. It's a good thing I'm st…

Well, part of the plastic surgery is necessary, like having a breast reduction for example. And besides that, I'm only allowing myself to get my upper lip and nose done, as I know anything else would just be fueling mental illness. I'm completely aware that at my current state, I would be unable to foster a healthy RP relationship, which is why I'm actively taking steps to change that. I'm sorry, but I don't see how my plan is an illusion. Getting back with my ex? Perhaps. But even then, I'm nev…

I think most girls here actually have careers. It's just not economically feasible for most women to remain at home anymore.

Mm, yeah...probably the most solid and sound advice on this thread. I needed to realize this. Thank you.

No offense taken! I actually signed up for therapy the day I broke up with him; it's definitely necessary for me.

Always remember that your time and body are precious, but so is your mind. I've never thought of it like that...

Yeah, I think I will stick to masturbating as best as I can. I most definitely cannot sleep with my ex. He can't see my body until I finish my plastic surgery next year, and I will not stand to be treated like a plate from him, or anyone else anymore. Plus, there's just way too much there, and I doubt he'd allow it anyway.

I was most definitely attracted to my partner, the issue was he wasn't attracted to me physically. You can see my comment on the above poster's post for more background story. I still think my ex will be the one I eventually marry, and he's all I want to marry, so I agree that this is a matter of values. Like you said, this is a temptation just like any another; I need to abolish the idea just like any other that would distract me from my goals. I guess I am afraid my ex will find someone else, …

He told me on multiple occasions that if I didn't get mentally better soon, then he would leave me. I also got from a 28.5 BMI to a 24 BMI during the course of our 10-month relationship, but he still wasn't attracted to me because he said I was losing weight too slowly and bingeing far too often. I asked him verbatim, "If I stayed this weight forever, [5'2 131 pounds], would you leave me?" He said, "Yes, because it signifies a lack of effort and drive." Which, obviously meant he wasn't attracted…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
