I'm actually absolutely agree with you. I'm playing now mostly puzzle/logical games and I really see congnitive boost from it. But I think there is no help in ability to reason strategically you can gather from games. Also computer gaming is meditative experience and if you don't develop unhealthy addiction out of the game it's actually will benefit you enormously.

Just some comments about mental illness and disorder. I myself suffering from REAL OCD (not that "I'm so obsessive and compulsive, I clean my room 5 times per day" bullshit).
