Feedback from last week was that my calorie goals were too strict. So I loosened it this week to 2380cal (25%=149g carb, 40%=106g fat, 35%=208g protein) Day | Weight | Food Cal | Carbs | Fat | Protein | Steps | Fitbit Cal ---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|--- Tues | 266.4 | 1565 | 125 | 51 | 159 | 12495 | 3797 Wed | 264.4 | 2570 | 208 | 100 | 220 | 14168 | 4930 Thur | 264.4 | 2378 | 148 | 106 | 210 | 8865 | 3591 Fri | 262.2 | 2556 | 169 | 115 | 199 | 10819 | 4613 Sat | 262.2 | 2497 | 215 | 112 | 1…

5'10" and recently had DXA that showed 43% body fat (last weeks OYS had more details). So yes, losing weight is pretty much entirely what I'm focusing on for now. I'm not going to recomp to 270@15%BF--and if it were possible it's not a body I want anyway. I'm thinking 180@20% goals and that has a LBM of 144. My LBM is already 153. But mostly trying to get under 200 for now without losing too much LBM. But I suppose I could make the goal be 200@20% which would mean gaining 5lbs muscle. Anyway at …

Hmm. It could be, but I mostly associate mine with stress and big projects at work. It's not a routine thing it just happens two or three times a month and always has a similar pattern where my brain is tired and useless but my body and senses feels awake. Anyway thank you all for your concerns about my calorie goals. For now I'm just going to make some sort of plan to deal with it. It's not like I don't know when these insomnia attacks start. But typically I just spend the entire time telling m…

Like I told him, I've always had these even when I wasn't dieting. If you need more detail they're always this same sort of thing that starts with not being able to fall asleep because when I close my eyes it seems like someone's blasting a flashlight in my face and then I end up awake and bored very late at night (like 1-2am when typically I'm in bed by 10pm) and then get hungry.

I'm not trying to be argumentative but why are you so defeatist? Even plugging it into the NIH body weight planner gives basically the same advice to lose 70lbs in a year. That's only 1.2lbs a week. The insomnia/binge problem isn't something new but I can see why you'd make that association--I typically have had 2-3 of those a month and usually they're triggered by stress.

TDEE using the DXA 43% body fat and the calculator at http://www.sailrabbit.com/bmr/ comes to 2,569 so I don't think 1,556 (2lb/wk) is an extreme target. That is based on sedentary and not refeeding the exercise calories, though. Maybe I should readjust based on the fitbit activity measure. I notice that if I set activity to lightly or moderately active it gets into the fitbit ballpark which seems plausible to me so maybe I should refead the deficit. Prior to the fitbit I had been focusing on li…

Haha I know you're desperate for me to say anything about the accusation... but it's so much more fun for me to ignore it. You'll just have to see what you want to see. :-*

I'm shooting for "slutfucker" but open to suggestion.

Generally, I try not to read women's minds and decide for them where and when they're allowed perform sexual acts. If she offers to put her mouth on my dick and I'd like it there, I'm not going to stop her in her tracks and tell her she's a prostitute or something. Not sure how being judgy about sex is going to get me more sex? Yeah, I've been a bit desperate and thirsty. But I don't put out job satisfaction surveys when picking a cashier at the grocery if that makes any sense? Is the goal to ma…

Accountability is what this forum thread is about, isn't it? Let's do it here. ;)

Sorry, there's some misunderstanding. What I mean is: She will get a more fit, strong, masculine man that takes care of shit, is responsible, and supports her. Not sure how many women would turn down those qualities. I certainly see what's in it for her. What I'm not clear on is why I should ignore the fact that my wife is asexual. It seems like some Monty Hall problem where you're being told the correct answer is change your guess to pick the door that was opened to reveal the goat. Anyway that…

Honestly I don't think either of us have a good understanding what this is yet. But she's onboard about my weight being a problem and she agreed with everyone who told me I don't get laid because I'm not attractive and that I need to address that before I put divorce on the table. I still think it's self-serving bullshit to some extent, but whatever. I can't argue that I'm not sexually stimulating. So for now it is what it is.

I'm very new here so still just soaking things in. I have been lifting for two years but got more serious about it last Nov. Need to work on my form (squats aren't deep enough etc). I weighted 320 not to long ago and to be frank I think I'd only seen the progress when looking in the mirror. That Fit3D spin is brutal. I can't stop staring at it. Frankly this here does all still seem like choreplay to me but I'm taking everyone's word that it's not. At the end of the day killing the fat has to hap…

I've been on deadbedrooms for a while. I'd commented that I was coming around to the reality that divorce was the only answer. I hadn't realized my wife found that account months ago and that comment that led her to confront me and some arguments. That comment also got a PM about marriedredpill and I have it a look. I posted a question last week about whether it was a divorce strategy and everyone told me I was stupid. My wife and I discussed that thread. We agree that I'm a fat ass who shouldn'…

I'll keep it short since I've failed miserably this week. Bit of a rude awakening. Got DXA and Fit3D scanned. Basically despite all the progress I've made I'm still entirely fat and gross. DXA masses are 43.6% fat, 272.9 total mass, 119.0 fat tissue, 146.4 lean tissue, 7.5 bones, 3.51 visceral fat. Fuck. Got a fitbit on Sat. Been in a bit of a funk feeling embarrassed even showing up at the gym and I missed daily weighins. Have been extremely focused on diet though. Foo | Weight | Calories | Ste…
