I read your entire entry regarding your life and you have my sympathies. I wouldn't wish divorce on my worst enemy. My husband and I did go through a rough patch where we seriously contemplated divorce- but we were both dedicated to making it as civil as possible for our children. While we were contemplating divorce my husband went aggro and stated "I will NOT be a weekend dad that isn't for me and I refuse". I was stunned. I would never want him to be separated from our children but I think it'…

I don't think anyone is really remembering the main point here (including Marcotte)- a person and a child were murdered. It's horrible- and it wasn't the fault of feminism or MRA. It is a tragedy.

This is weird thing for me. My husband has always joked with me that he surely has done things he deserves to be slapped for with a giant smirk on his face- he's goaded me throughout the years and dared me to slap him. I can never bring myself to do it- because honestly I think slapping a face unless someone is in full blown hysterics (a rarity I'd think!) it's a blatantly disrespectful act. Anyway I'm not a violent person whatsoever- and I just cannot bring myself to slap ANYONE and especially …

I'd be offended if I saw this sign anywhere I went- it is incredibly stupid and ignorant. -woman here

Disclaimer: I'm a woman. I don't think its "wrong" for a male to enjoy wearing anything feminine. I personally am not attracted to that - and to that I say- who the hell cares. There are plenty of men who would say they prefer a woman uphold a much more feminine standard than copying a more masculine appearance in terms of sweatshirts, jeans and male styled shirts. But I disagree with the lot of you. I think you are viewing this backwards :). I am not trying to start a fight or be rude. It seems…

I have dealt with it therapy! Therapy works if you want it to :). I don't walk around hating men because I've had contact with pedophiles and rapists in my youth. I had a girlfriend who I used to be very close to who emotionally and physically abused her boyfriends. At first I didn't realize she was doing it- after I found out through the grapevine- I found myself at a loss. This was during my early 20's- it was the first time I had ever seen a woman doing that. I was ignorant and since growing …

As a fellow rape victim I empathize with you. I'm a woman but I was raped more than once in various circumstances. Once- I ran away from home when I was a teenager and my BFF and I crashed at her friends home. He was supposed to be away- he was a 30 something family friend of hers. I awoke to him raping me in bed- I was shocked- I said "No" - albeit feebly because I WAS STUNNED BY DISBELIEF AND FEAR. When I he finished I ran to my BFF because I wanted reassurance- her response "you should have s…

I have always wondered about this angle in the reading I've done. I have ALWAYS had an issue wondering what exactly is so great about having a dozen random fatherless children around that you aren't around to raise to increase their ability to survive and cope with life and then in turn "be successful" from the male POV. (I'm a woman). Interesting stuff.

Um you were indeed acting like an asshole. Screaming and cussing at someone in public in a Starbucks restroom queue isn't exactly a rational way of furthering your rights and if you think so you're just silly.

Its most likely women on women BS- just like men act like crap to each other sometimes- so do women.

Anyone that thinks women do not commit sexual crimes is completely clueless about sex crimes- period. (I feel I have to confess that I'm a woman every time I'm posting around here but there it is). I find (anecdotal) in my own personal experience people like to pretend that these ugly truths simply do not exist. If you ask most Americans if they think sexual slavery exists in the US they would deny it vehemently when it absolutely does.

I agree with you that this is something that needs to be explored and it sounds outright exciting to me- as men could agree that perhaps war in unnecessary unless absolutely ultimately NEEDED is not worth wasting their lives on. I was just playing a game on XBOX the other day and one of my gaming friends admitted he wanted to go back to war (he's ex Marines) and I was shocked. He just likes- being a soldier. I could only imagine it has something to do with the camaraderie and that he likes to ac…

ROFL that is like every freaking article in a woman's magazine about how a woman should look, act, think and dress. Welcome to the club men! Although just to say: I think this "test" is incredibly stupid and superficial and just plain wrong.

Agreed that she has the right to say "no sex" and they should definitely consider counseling. She's trying to blackmail him into compliance though. It would be one thing if she just refused sex because she doesn't want it but his post leads me to believe she just announced it as a tactic to convince him to bend to her will.

I really despise to quote freaking Dr. Phil but I agree with his creed that it takes "Two yesses or ONE no" in relationships. I'm glad you went ahead with scheduling your operation. As a woman and wife and mother- I feel you have the absolute right to determine if you want to father more children and it is a violation for someone to actively coerce you into producing more if you are against it. If my husband felt the same way I would NEVER try to force him into having a kid or even getting a vas…

I didn't want her expelled necessarily- my concern is that since she is disabled that clearly she doesn't understand that sneaking a knife into school (a kitchen knife) and brandishing it is wrong. Of course this makes me wonder if she's going to do some other crazy thing. The boys were not threatening her in anyway- my son didn't even say one word to her. He's a friendly innocent playful 12 year old! Anyway I'm slightly paranoid now and I think that's understandable.

I used to have a bumper sticker on my car during the 90's and it simply stated "You're a sexist". Yep. You Are. Everyone- not just men and not just toward women but you state a classically generalized sexist statement here. I'm a woman and I certainly DID NOT dream of making house and home- I love science and actually considered going INTO SPACE. But I'm not truly cut out for that- I realized that when I grew up- but realize- not all women are just pathetic narrow minded fools sitting around wai…

I would be totally pissed if someone did this to my sons. My son is quite popular and very attractive- and girls have always flocked to him. If I found out something like this happened to him I would be horrified- good for you teacher for giving her chastisement for that inappropriate behavior. My son is in 6th grade- recently a girl (who has Autism) pulled a knife on he and his friend. She was given some form of punishment- I think alternative school for a few days. I walked away thinking that …

I think it is wrong to prevent people from crying. As a parent I feel guilty because I've told BOTH of my children (girl and boy) to stop crying because the situation doesn't warrant the amount of drama of crying. I don't know if I'm doing things wrong by sometimes telling them that crying is not the solution and instead they should try to calm down and speak in a regular tone of voice so we can figure things out together calmly. If my husband cries, well he doesn't often at all, or barely, it m…

I feel badly for this man. I wouldn't wish divorce on ANYONE. It is a horrible thing. For men and women. (I'm a married woman and mother). I do not think it is right for him to automatically have his children taken from him- it is wrong. And I insist, not all women are like this. We really are not all horrible people bent on controlling men. Either way- I feel badly for any men dealing with this.

They do this because they blatantly confuse "women and men are different biologically" with "men are better than women" OR "women are better than men" OR "this proves Men/Women better than the other" and various things. The reality is (and I'm a woman and a feminist- but also I should add that I am NOT a man hater and I believe men should receive fair treatment) the feminist movement idiotically tried to paint a picture that men and women are the same. Additionally add to that storm that a lot o…
