The beliefs held in this sub are not common lol. I think people know what I mean when I say "delusional".

Delusional means out of touch with reality, and that's what this sub has become.

I’m a dude lmao.

International Men’s Day is NOT acknowledged by the UN I realize that & acknowledge how wrong that shit is, but the UN doesn't paint society's opinion on father's day. Regardless of what they observe, it's still recognized across the globe.

I'm sorry. You're right, didn't see that in his history.. that's so fucked up.

How doesn't it?

Exactly bruh. I've come to realize this place has become legitimately delusional.

You guys are blatantly quieting people with false accusations so your echo chamber can stay the chamber it is. That's fucking crazy.
/r/MensRights10/04/20 04:25 AM

ikr? And the echo chamber that this sub is will make sure i'm the one being downvoted and he's the one being upvoted. It's a shame that this sub's become anti-women instead of pro-equality over the years.

I agree that it's controversial and that's stupid, but if anything that means it's even more acknowledged. This post is trying to say it's not acknowledged by most people which I'm sure you can agree is just total BS.

You kidding me? Let's not make up things to fit an agenda.. that's exactly what we're fighting against. Shit like this is how the sub gets branded "anti-women" instead of "pro-equality".

But International Mens Day is acknowledged, lol? There's parades and everything? Downvotes hide your comment - the meaning of a downvote remains objective: "This doesn't deserve to be seen." I agree about the karma system, though.

Saying that the typical home dynamic is the man working the longer hours while the woman raises the child. And when there is a custody battle, the woman wins control more often then the man, by a very large margin. Okay but nobody in those situations is actively discouraging fathers to participate in their child's life?

Not even sure what you're talking about at this point. If you don't want to engage the point I'll leave you alone.

Online society is plagued with radical feminist viewpoints. That's why the comment section you mentioned is a shitshow. I'm saying not to title our posts this way because titles matter. Putting a Father's Day advertisement here and suggesting that most don't acknowledge it as they do mother's day is unintentionally painting us as a group of people victimizing themselves. We're the subreddit genuinely fighting for gender equality. We're going to have to watch for this sort of thing because we car…

That's the point of having a literal definition lol. Pointing out what's commonly used.
/r/MensRights09/04/20 11:50 PM

Absolutely, man. Generalization is being used as a tool to underly extreme viewpoints especially by the third-wave feminist community.

I have a point I'm trying to convey through that comment and I personally don't think that comment is the place to stress statistical truths. Thanks for your input, but I do care about the point.

More people need to be thinking like you. I appreciate the post.

I'm just as ready to change it, but don't you think.. Most homophobes are closeted gays, but most closeted gays are not homophobes ..gets less of a point across?

Let's keep this civil dude. What do you think the "atleast acknowledged by some" in the post title means, if not an attempt to say something larger about either society or women in general?
/r/MensRights09/04/20 11:25 PM

I see your point and agree 100%, but for simplicity's sake I'd rather leave that as is in order to get the larger point across.

Okay, disregard "women" then. If we start pretending that most people in society despise father's day and are full of hate towards men, are we any better than the feminazis who think most men are sexist oppressors? After all, isn't that what "atleast acknowledged by some" in the post title is alluding to?

It’s getting harder and harder to find people who don’t have their view of reality influenced by the media/Internet I'm sorry, I should have mentioned "people online" in that sentence instead of just "people." My point is that people online are having their view of reality skewed by the portrayal of society by the media or the Internet. I'll edit that to reflect it. It's making well-intentioned subs like this one slowly turn into the shitshow that feminist subs are making it out to be. Hey, cele…

Yeah, the whole "most pedophiles are men" thing was stupid of me to say. Changed that part a bit.

Not sure what I was thinking when I wrote that. Absolutely true and I'm going to edit my comment to reflect it.

Yo thanks for understanding man. It's getting harder and harder to find people online who don't have their view of reality influenced by the media/Internet and it's making well-intentioned subs like this one slowly turn into the shitshow that feminist subs are making it out to be.

Relax lol. Have a clear-headed look at the title of this post: Coca Cola ME's ad for Father's Day. Glad that the sacrifices, many dads make, is atleast acknowledged by some. Don't you think the bolded part is under the presumption that most people don't acknowledge it?
/r/MensRights09/04/20 10:37 PM

I'm not dismissing any of those things as a non-issue at all lol. People's lives are being ruined and that shit needs to stop 100%. I'm not a fucking feminazi lmao. I'm literally only talking about father's day right now. If we start pretending that most women despise father's day and are full of hate towards men, are we any better than the feminazis who think most men are sexist oppressors? We still get our Google Doodles and Twitter trends and gifts and parades. Also, I can go take my daughter…

Of course, man. Most social media websites are notorious for that kind of thing. What we see from people on the Internet isn't reflective of the vast majority of people IRL, though.
/r/MensRights09/04/20 09:56 PM

This is absolutely it. We can't generalize all of humanity over what we see on the news or on the media. Go outside and talk to a random guy - I can bet you money they won't be a sexist or a racist. From the other angle (and this is where I hope I don't get downvoted), also go outside and talk to a woman - I can bet you money they won't be a feminazi or a karen.

omg not all women are like that! stop objectifying! /s

Not a feminist, but Father's Day is already acknowledged pretty largely in an equivalent fashion to Mother's Day. Just because some feminazis hate the day doesn't mean society does. Edit: Come on, guys. Downvoting me for saying that the loudmouths online don't reflect most people IRL?

Whoever wrote that shit is fucked up on a mental level. It also reflects a larger problem not just in feminist communities but across the internet: generalization. Reddit especially is always doing this. We need to understand that, for example: - Police brutality is a real thing, but most cops are not violent racists. - Most homophobes are straight, but most straight people are not homophobes. And in this context: if most pedophiles you see are men, men are not pedophiles. It's time the Internet…
