I think also that to consider the explanation for this, we also have to consider the question through the lens that humans in our current state, are sinful and fallen - alongside the rest of creation. 1	Emotional Detachment reading material Yeah I have the opposite problem. I'm so emotionally detached that I struggle to connect with people. This is something I've only just realised, and trying to work on. I would agree that being stoic is about feeling the emotions, observing them, and learning to choose how to respond.
