One way to think about it is like this: where do women go when they want to meet someone at a place other than a party / club / bar? The answers become pretty obvious when you think of it that way: Places where they look their best (Yoga or other athletic scene maybe) Places where they're doing something they find interesting (multi-day conference or something similarly in-depth) Places they go to have fun (beach, museum, outdoor concert, etc) Most guys do not know how to (or don't think to) pla…

Our culture of faux-monogamy might have us believing that the male imperative is to guarantee paternity as widely as possible while spending as few resources as possible. Another possibility, and one that is widely held in non-monogamous cultures, is that the male imperative is to join a substantial and diverse mating group, impregnating women that have also been (and will subsequently be) impregnated by other men, creating a better chance that the offspring will be raised by several different f…

I'm not sure why I ever subscribed here. I guess I once thought that there was some interesting theory. Now it seems like men desperate to get laid by a fantasy of a woman. The comments in this thread are... I think the word is... beta. And they are evidence that this sub has exhausted usefulness for me. Goodbye.

I may be in the minority, but I strongly disagree with this one. I like alcohol just fine, but I don't think it's a good way to escalate. It may lower her (and your) inhibitions, but it also creates the psychology of lowered inhibitions, and thus lowered standards. Make her want you stone cold sober. Make her intoxicated from her want alone. Drink with her next time. Lowered inhibitions also means, by definition, that this encounter is further from "affirmative" on the consent spectrum. Moral im…

Demonstrate affirmative consent early. "Can I kiss your hands?" "Do you want me to kiss your neck?" "I want to reach my hand under your shirt; will that feel good for you?" Obviously not all of these questions are appropriate depending on the setting. However, if she gets the (accurate) impression that you are going to seek her consent before doing anything with her body, she's much more likely to want to escalate with you.

I just returned from an Acroyoga / Thai Yoga massage festival. Here's my advice: Take a moment, when you are alone, to look at your hands. Not too long - just a few seconds. Think about how much your attention is played out through the motions of your hands. Now, rub them together as if you're cold - make your hands warm and feel the heat. Fill your hands with the blood energy of your heart. Now, imagine that touching someone with those hands will make them feel really good. Pretend you are bein…
