Your support will get him through all of it. I cry alone when my boys (10 and 7) are not with me. The pain/shame of “not being able to keep a family together” lingers for a while. Having you in the corner will help a lot. Keep encouraging him to step out of his comfort zones, encourage new hobbies he put off while raising you.

Mine tried to plant the seeds to me about that and suggested it. Always tried to say “ you wouldn’t want to be so happy too?”

This! I’ve been teaching my kids photography since I moved downtown. Our days consist of fishing trips and photo walks. Fuck that keeping up with the Jones’

Same scenario here! Was a long day but now I have the kids for the weekend. Taking them fishing and having them help decorate my apartment for Christmas.

Yes! I’ve kind of enjoyed the freedom to make decisions without having to consider every possible outcome like Dr Strange. I think the ladies feel my don’t give a fuck vibe, I have had more ladies approach me or give hints they are interested. I was scared at first but realize 40 is the new 30 nowadays.

I haven’t eaten well since we decided. Been on anti depressants which helps. Just focusing on what I can do for my kids everyday and cherishing this short time that I get them everyday.

I’m in the middle of it right now. Still living in the same house until we sell it. She is a shell of who I loved. Me and the boys came home from our weekend and she had lip fillers done. She’s been hanging around these rich soccer moms and it’s been nothing but trouble. She constantly tells me things like “you won’t raise your sons to be men, you can’t even fight for your family”… after she’s the one leaving me. I just want my peace and to take my boys fishing and to heal from the last 5 years …

Dude. I had the same exact situation, we planned to be so amicable and split evenly. I’ll tell you it started to get contentious. It’s gonna suck and hurt for a while but my man, I lost myself when I was trying to cater to her every need. I’m slowly learning who I am again.

Mine just yelled at me that I would never teach my boys how to be men. They just know how to kick you when you’re down.

Same 2022 CX-9! The STBX is so jealous and I’m glad. When we went shopping for the “family” car 2 years ago, none of my opinion mattered and we ended up with a $60,000 Jeep that’s terrible on gas and gas had numerous recalls. My car is so much comfier for the kids and has way more space for our fishing trips. $40,000 cheaper.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
