try the 5x5 program....a great way to seriously increase muscle mass fast. Of course you're gonna have to follow that with a slightly protein heavier diet but I was able to get all the way up to 200 in a couple of months. Just remember when you're feeling like it's too hard...if it was easy, everyone would be doing it.

What's your opinion on parkour? I know it's not a combat sport but it's got plenty in terms of overcoming fear and functional strength.

Personally I think the Confucian philosophy got it right. Treat your parents with utter respect. But that of course comes with a caveat, back then parents did everything they could to bring their kids up right, even if you were poor you tried to set your kid up for success.
