I haven't been accused of sexual assault, but I have been through a protracted series of false allegations from by ex which landed me a total of 9 felony charges in four separate cases spanning about 1 year. Ultimately, by my last case I was so fed up with the false allegations that I made the mistake of chewing out my accuser for her lies, and I landed harassment and witness intimidation charges even though I was eventually found not guilty of the crime I was accused of. In honesty, an article describing his innocence of the crime may be one of the best things that could have happened in this case. Many sexual assault news articles only report the charges, with no follow up on articles on the final disposition of the case. So I think he's fairly lucky there.
