i dont think think it's exclusively men pushing it and it is natural to a certain degree? oversimplified: women are influenced more heavily by a biological imperative as they have a 'clock' running and from an emotional perspective men are often perpetually 'stuck' at 15/16/17 years old which doesn't really 'go away' they just get better at hiding it. this leads to some women preferring more mature guys (which are often older) and some men prefer younger women.

i dont think this is true. breast cancer is the leading cause of death for western women between 30 and 60 while prostate cancer makes up for "only" 10% of male cancer deaths. also prostate cancer is a disease of very old guys which leads to a high comorbidity; as in most sickly 80 year old guys with prostate cancer their bodies will say "fuck this shit" and shut down when they were to start a chemo
